Why is Carl staring at the door's direction?

What is wrong with Carl?

Isn't he usually not raising his head at all from his book when he started to do his school work in the other days?

But today he seems to be not looking at his book at all.

Why is he looking at the door's direction?

Is he waiting for someone or is he waiting for something to happen?

Or

Is he distracted by some other matters?

But a study god like Carl wouldn't be easily distracted by anything at all.

Roy looked at Carl again and it seems that this time, he is frowning too.

Is Carl thinking about some difficult study matters while staring at the door's direction?

May be, he is trying to revise some difficult theories or may be he is trying to solve some kind of study related problem in his mind.

Yeah. That must be it.

A study god must be that way.

With these thoughts, Roy looked back secretly at the Joy's direction to check if she was still checking on the students. But instead of that, he noticed whole another thing.

It was that Zenaida's and Ava's seats are still empty.

In 12- A classroom, there are three rows of tables. They are Window side row, door side row and the row between both of those rows.Zenaida and Ava sit at the window side of the classroom while Roy and Carl sit at the door side of the classroom.

Also, if Roy or Carl wanted to look at Zenaida or Ava, they would have to turn around and look back of them because Zenaida and Ava both sit at the last row of the classroom.

Roy who noticed the absence of Zenaida and Ava in the classroom, blurted out in a careless manner " Why is Zenaida taking so much time in the teacher's room? If I was right, she should be in the classroom by now."

Carl who was staring at the door all these time, immediately turned around his head towards Roy after he heard the Roy's mentioning about Zenaida.

Then, he asked from Roy " Why was she at there? "

" She didn't tell me. I thought that it was the same reason as you." Roy said.

Carl who was disappointed by the answer of Roy said with a sarcastic voice" Tsk!! You didn't even ask about that. Then, what were you talking at that time with her while being all smiley?"

Roy was little bit agitated by the words of Carl but he ignored him and called out for Joy.

" Hey, class monitor!!! Where have Zenaida and Ava gone? "

Joy who was going to answer Roy, was interrupted by another boy in the classroom. That boy is the person who sat infront of Ava and Zenaida.

" Joy, it seems that both of their bags are also gone. " That boy said to Joy.

"Is that so? I will call Ava and check what is going on. " After saying that, Joy called Ava with her mobile phone.

"Hey!!! Ava!!"

"Where are you at?"

"At Zenaida's place? Is Zenaida sick?"

" Is it severe?"

" Then, tell her to rest well."

After saying that, she hung up the phone and said out loudly " Zenaida has a stomach ache and she has gone home with Ava after taking the permission from mr. Harry. "

Carl who is not usually paying attention to the other students' talking, paid all his attention to the surrounding of his. When he heard that Zenaida's and Ava's bag were gone, he predicted that something must be wrong with one of them.

He guessed that one of them must be sick.

Is it Zenaida?

No. It could be Ava too.

With that thought, he listened to Joy's phone call with his all attention.

When he heard that Zenaida is the one who is sick, he unconsciously clenched the book in his hands.

Was she sick back then at the cafeteria too?

Did he make her upset when she was ill in that way?

Was she anxious about him being angry while she was sick?

Did she write that note for him and did she go to the cafeteria to buy food for him in that condition?

With all these questions in his mind, Carl felt very guilty in his heart about his previous actions.

Was her illness severed because of him?

Is she severely ill?

If not why would she go home instead of staying at the school?

Is she in so much pain?

Roy noticed the difference of his friend's expression. His friend seems to be worried about something. It should not be worried. It should be extremely worried.

Roy has never seen this kind of expression on Carl's face before. This is the first time.

Was it because of Zenaida?

Is he worried about Zenaida's condition?

If it is not Zenaida, who would able to take a reaction out of this guy like this.

Carl seems to be feeling guilty about his previous actions too. If Zenaida was sick today since the beginning, Carl would indeed feel guilty about his actions towards Zenaida today.

Roy doesn't want to be happy in his friend's pain. But he was secretly little bit happy in his heart because Carl received his punishment for treating Zenaida in that way.

But little happiness in his heart went away once he noticed again his friend's extremely worried face. He never has seen this kind of expression on Carl's face before. For whatever reason, he doesn't want to see this kind of expression on his face either.

What should he do to make his friend less worried?

Was Zenaida really sick since she was at the cafeteria or was it not in that way?

Zenaida seems to be all better at the teacher's office. There wasn't a single sign of sickness on her face and she was all fine.

What was really happened to her suddenly?

He was really puzzled about this matter.

Should he call Zenaida and ask her directly or instead of that , should he send a text message to her?
