Hueco Mundo

"From what I've read Hueco Mundo is drowned in an eternal night. But why is that? There's a moon but no sun. Well, the soul Society has night and day much like the human world. Is it due to the dense reishi changing the atmosphere itself? No that doesn't make much sense. If you think about it logically the light levels here are similar to the human world in the night.

So there are two options. There is a Sun but it isn't the main light source or the scenery has been physically altered by someone or something over the millennia it's been around for." Hikifune thought out loud.

"I agree. There's no way Hueco Mundo has survived for this long without any change. While the change isn't probably rapid or quick it still happens. What I'm most excited for is seeing a culture. There have been records of Hollows being incredibly intelligent so I want to see if they use that to do anything other than fight. I want to see whether they have built civilisations or a society. The way I see it hollows are violent by nature right? They can't just be targeting it towards humans and Shinigami, they should be doing it towards each other. For power.

There has to be a ruler or a sovereign of this wasteland. I wonder if hollows can reproduce to pass on genes or something."

"You didn't hear this from me but I was reading through some classified files and there are variants of hollows. They are eerily human-like. It's like they are something completely different. They don't have the usual hollow mask, they have human faces. I have no idea what they are or whether they are even real. It's a mystery."

"I hope to see female hollows. Would they exist? I've only met 'male' ones."

"You're just a pervert."

Before I could discuss my thought about female hollows. We wandered to what seemed to be the beginning of a forest. Forest was just used as a describing word as trees, like most things in Hueco Mundo, were not normal. Instead, they were large formations of minerals which had been condensed to create large formations.

Before we entered the forest I stopped Hikifune from entering so I could conduct a search. I crouched and placed my finger into the sand which was everywhere in Hueco Mundo.

It was a simple technique which anyone could do but it was unique to me because no one else did it. It was a sensory technique. By exerting my reiatsu outwards to cover the entire forest I could detect living organisms and a rough strength check. This was useful for any missions where we had to hunt down hollows or Shinigami. Once something was hit a wave would be sent back to me and I'd know their location.

"There are around 29 hollows. Do you we go around the forest or do we just kill them? One of them is quite strong maybe an Adjuchas hollow."

"There's no need to walk around. We are Shinigami. We take the path of the most trouble."

"Sir, the forest of Sueños has been attacked. All of them have been wiped out." A female with what looked like butterfly wings said. She wasn't looking at the person who she was talking to, instead looking at the floor

They were inside a kings chamber. The walls had torches which created the light for the room. The floor was covered a smooth white carpet which had a splash red on each of the corners. The king's throne was sat on by a singular naked figure. The figures Hollow mask was broken and had human traits. He had flowing black hair which reached the bottom of his back. And red eyes which pierced the eyes of anyone who met his gaze

The most defining thing about him were the scars which his entire pale body. The varied in size however there was one that stood out.

A scar which travelled his forehead all the way to his belly button.

"Raise your head, Maria. Do we know who has done this?" His tone was calm and peaceful.

"We suspect it to be Baraggan. The brutal nature of the attack seems it something that he would do. The forest was completely levelled by an attack."

"No It's not Baraggan. This is someone else. Baraggan is not foolish enough to attack my territory for no real reason. We've been fighting for centuries and he has yet to do something like this." The king replied.

"What should we do, my King?" Maria asked.

"Take your sisters and find the hollow responsible. Once you find them, then come back to me. I shall personally teach them a lesson of what happens when you touch my brothers and sisters."

"You order shall be carried out, Lord Negar."

I was looking at the body of a Hollow. My zanpakuto was in its stomach but it wasn't completely dead.

"Why don't we take this one? Don't you want to experiment on it? See what's inside a hollow?"

"We're not allowed. Well we're not allowed to try and gain hollow like powers so you know that the Central 46 won't allow it." Hikifune sighed.

"You're finished....." The corpse croaked.

"Hmmm."

"You Shinigami wandered into Lord Negars territory and caused quite the scene." There were pauses between each of his words which made him sound like a broken record.

"He's not gonna be happy. Not one bit. It's over for you guys. I hope my death will send a message to my lord. Of how disgusting you Shinigami are."

"Hado 4: Byakurai." Captain Hikifune used the kido and pierced the hollow right in its brain.

"Lord Negar? So there's a semblance of a social structure. Interesting." I commented after the hollow was killed.

"Though I'm not sure whether he was speaking out of trust and fear. He seemed fond of the person. I won't deny it but I'm excited now."

"I feel the same way too."
