Becoming the Richest by Farming

"Ellen Young, someone is looking for you."

When the village chief found Ellen, she was carrying a big bag of garbage.

A bulging black plastic bag.

The village chief knew that Ellen had just come back from somewhere else and had recently been fussing with the old house her grandfather left behind.

Ellen looked up, her black and white eyes quietly staring at the village chief.

She had an air of cool, serene poise, and her pale skin reflected an opalescent luster in the sunlight.

Every time the village chief saw her, he would murmur to himself that this child really didn't seem like she was raised in their village.

The village chief continued, "She's at the village entrance office, will you come with me?"

Ellen nodded and followed the village chief.

When passing the garbage site, she threw the bag of trash in.

The village chief asked, "Aren't you going to ask me who it is looking for you?"

Ellen spoke softly, "I know who it is."

The village chief was a bit surprised.

When they reached the village entrance office, Ellen and the village chief saw that many people had already gathered outside the office door.

Many plainly dressed children were looking inside the office as if they were watching something exotic.

Ellen and the village chief understood as they got closer.

It was a woman.

A woman clad in a white one-piece dress, with a white purse hanging down to her waist, her dress hem falling just at her knees revealing a section of beautiful, straight calves.

She had waist-length hair that was well cared for, light makeup, and a perfect face, with delicate features that made her entire face seem no bigger than a palm, exuding an air of refined fashion which was completely at odds with the surrounding old, dusty countryside.

No wonder the children around were staring as if they were looking at a rare animal.

When the woman saw the village chief bringing a girl in, she was a bit startled and looked over, subconsciously asking the village director beside her, "Is it her?"

The director nodded, pointing at Ellen, "This is Ellen Young, the person you're looking for."

A look of surprise deepened in the woman's eyes.

Lucy Wood had only heard about this sister who disappeared for over twenty years through documents.

Back then, she never imagined that aside from her younger siblings, she had another younger sister.

She came here now out of necessity.

She thought her sister, who had lived in the countryside for over twenty years, would be dressed rustically, her eyes filled with longing for her, the visitor from the city.

However, the girl the village chief brought in was also unusually tall among the locals.

Probably inherited from the Wood Family genes.

Tall and slender in physique, her face appeared delicate without makeup, strikingly attractive, with an unbelievable fair complexion.

She had her hair simply tied up, with a few strands falling alongside her cheeks, softening the cool aura her face radiated.

She was dressed simply in a white shirt and jeans, with the legs rolled up to reveal beautifully curved calves, wearing only a pair of black, unadorned slippers, her toenails lustrous and pretty.

She looked as if she had been busy with something and had been called over.

Compared to Lucy Wood, her long-lost sister, too, seemed out of place amongst the locals.

Lucy Wood found it hard to believe that she had grown up in the countryside since childhood.

Caught by surprise, her voice trembled slightly, "Ellen Young?"

Ellen's black pupils simply watched her quietly, and the village chief explained in a low voice, "Ellen, this is the family member we found based on your childhood data. She's your older sister, and a celebrity at that!"

It was rare to see such people from the city, let alone celebrities.

Yet, Ellen's expression remained unchanged, and she just nodded slightly, "What do you want to see me for?"
