They were crafted with immortality and purity, entrusted with the sacred task of tending to the earth's delicate balance while the Earth Spirit joined the war. Yet, as time passed, they began to stray from their noble purpose, seduced by the allure of power and pleasure. The whispers of greed, lust, envy, and pride twisted their thoughts. Driven by their newfound desires, the Elves turned upon each other, consumed by avarice and ambition. The strong preyed upon the weak, hoarding treasures and vying for dominion over their kin. When the Earth Spirit noticed the devastation wrought by her own creations, she took away their immortality by casting upon them a curse- the curse of iron which renders them weak when they are around it and takes their life when it is inserted in their bodies.”
