Quest And Their Own Adventures

Have you ever tried eating the leaf of a plant called Serpentina? It's extremely bitter, right?

I tried eating it once when I had diarrhea, with its bitterness gone to the max, but I eventually found out that there's literally no point in eating it if you remove its bitterness.

Turns out that the bitterness of it is where the medicinal properties is. When I tried it out again, I puked it out a lot before successfully being able to eat 3 of them, relieving my stomach ache.

At the time, I thought, "Herbal remedies sometimes aren't the way to go, eh?"

(Shun's POV)

Once we logged out, Pochi and Tama jumped out of the bed and dragged me to the kitchen while yelling, "Meat~! Meat~!".

Since the other girls are still not out of the game, I just cooked the food for all of us and left a message on the group chat before we three happily ate our lunch.

"Broccoli-san is so not tasty nodesu!"

"Hamburg-sensei, amazilicious~!"

Looks like the two really likes the hamburgs I made. However, since I wanted them to eat a nutritious meal, I also added vegetables.

This is where I noticed how they differ from each other even though they treat each other as sisters.

Pochi, even though she doesn't like vegetables, started her meal at eating them. Then, she left the hamburg steaks I made for last. Tama, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of Pochi when it comes to eating.

While Pochi is scrunching her face, eating her vegetables, Tama is enjoying her hamburg steak. Then, when Pochi is enjoying her hamburg, Tama is scrunching her face, eating her least favorite food, the vegetables.

"Vegetables, not like~!"

"Mmm—! Hamburg-san is so delicious nodesu! This is abastulote bliss nanodesu!"

Pochi even mispronounced her words due to how happy she is feeling, finally eating meat once again.

"It's absolute, Pochi. Not abastolute."

"Understood nodesu!"

After our meal, we stayed for some time, digesting our food, before we once again entered the virtual world of [New World Online]. When we logged in, we spawned in the middle of the very forest where we logged out.

"Alright, you girls. You girls can go adventure on your own while I go back to the town to buy some supplies. Contact me if you have any questions or if anything were to happen, capiche?"

"Capiche~!"

"Capiche, nanodesu!"

With that, I separated with the two beast girls after a day of hunting together and teaching them.

On my way to the first town, I checked the quest that we have in our [Dimensional Group Chat] through my VR Gear.

"Hmm… Looks like I can claim my rewards for completing the subquest but I'll leave it for later…"

While I was mumbling to myself, I suddenly bumped into an a middle aged lady.

"Ah—!"

*thud*

With a panicked shout coming from the lady, she almost stumbled to the ground because of me evading her just in time. Of course, I didn't watch her fall to ground.

Holding her in one of her arms to support her, she finally managed to stabilize herself.

"What's the matter ma'am? Why are you in such a hurry?"

In my question, a look of worry clouded her face as she held me by my shoulders.

"Please! Please help me look for my daughter! She, she went inside the cave deep inside the forest to look for a medicine to cure my illness but that place is dangerous!"

Eh, I'm absolutely clueless as to what she is shouting about. I need some context in this, ma'am.

"First, please tell me where this cave is and what grass is it that your daughter is looking for."

"M-My daughter is looking for a grass called Bayleaf Grass. It's one of the ingredients to cure my illness. My… my sweet daughter she… she…"

"Alright, I understand, ma'am. Just tell me where this cave is and I'll help you find your daughter, okay?"

「You accepted the quest [Search And Rescue The Village Girl Winona!]」

(Kaede's POV)

"Satania-san, is your spell not ready yet!?"

"Eh, just two more seconds… There! Eat this, the flames of Hell from a Great Archdemon! Satanichia Flames!"

Even though Satania-san said it so dramatically, all she did was release a small fireball the size of a golf ball.

However, when it hit the goblin in front of me, which is not dealing damage by the way, it immediately cried out in pain and turned into scattered digital fragments or something. You know, those geometrical things with colorful lights?

We've been doing this for a day or so now and we're all already halfway through level 8. By the way, I say all because Rikka-san is also with us!

After we're done with our adventure inside the game called [New World Online], we decided to take a break to eat lunch. Except for Mutsuko-neesan who decided to go on her own, me, Satania-san, and Rikka-san are all in one party.

Together, we all logged out at the same time.

"Rikka-san, can you call Mutsuko-neesan so that we can eat lunch together?"

"Okay. I'll just call her through the game's chat function."

"A-Hahaha! Did you see the absolute power this Great Archdemon Satanichia wield, Kaede-san!?"

"Yeah! It was really such a great support!"

"A-Hahaha! Praise me more! I'm the greatest, aren't I?"

The reason why Satania-san is so excited and happy is because of what she did inside the game. You see, since both of us are inexperienced when it comes to gaming, we asked Rikka-san, the most experienced out of all of us, for help.

She said that we could just choose to specialize in one thing. Thus, we did. I specialized in VIT while Satania-san specialized in INT and Mana.

At first, I placed 100 of my first 100 stat points in VIT while Satania-san placed 20 on her MP and the rest on her INT. Because Satania-san didn't want to come with us at first, we three separated and hunted by ourselves for a while.

During my hunt, I got really strong! Hee hee, rabbit-san couldn't even put a dent in my strong abs!

Ku-hum! Anyway! During my solo hunt — that's how Rikka-san called it — I gained a few skills like [Absolute Defense], [Giant Killing], [Provoke], and [Poison Resist(M)]. When we met again, Rikka-san told me how to learn skills like [Cover], [Cover Move], [Shield Bash], and [Shield Attack].

Satania-san seems to have gained some similar skills to mine like [Nature's Beloved], [Chosen Child of Mana], and [Destruction Mage]. The skills sounds powerful and even Rikka-san seems to be surprised by them.

"Ah! It looks like [Admin] Shun-san, Pochi and Tama already ate lunch. Let's go and eat before going back to the game!"

"I'm back! I brought Mutsuko-neesan with me!"

"Hello you girls~! How is your adventure going?"

Ah, it looks like Rikka-san is back from calling Mutsuko-neesan.

"Hmph! We're doing fine! What were you up to, anyway?"

"Hee hee, well, I figured there won't be a blacksmith in our group so I decided to be one! Tomorrow, I'll be able to make items for you guys!"

""Oooooohh!""

Oops. It looks like I and Satania-san couldn't stop ourselves from exclaiming in amazement. Rikka-san seems to be expecting this though.

Mou, they didn't even tell us their plans. I mean, I know that I'm kinda unreliable right now but still…

"By the way, do you guys know where Shun-kun is?"

Why is Mutsuko-neesan looking for [Admin] Shun-san?

"He said in his message he left in the group chat that he will be inside the game again after lunch."

"Thanks Satania-chan!"

"Hey, stop hugging me! Also, it's Satanichia not Satania!"

It looks like Satania-san hates the hug but she isn't making any real effort to push Mutsuko-neesan away.

Anyway, we should get to waiting so that we can hunt monsters again! [Admin] Shun-san said that the three of them are already level 10. We need to hurry and catch up to them!

(Shun's POV)

After accepting a sudden quest from a villager auntie, I went to a suspicious looking cave deep inside the forest. The auntie said that the cave is dangerous but all I encountered inside this cave are horned rabbits.

"Gee… I don't want to jinx myself by saying this but this cave doesn't look dangerous to me at all…"

While I was saying that, I heard a quiet squeak. Then, in front of me appeared three pairs of glowing red eyes.

Unlike the white color of the horned rabbits, these guys have pure black furs. Instead of standing on their four legs, they are standing on their hind legs while holding something that looks like a dagger.

"I just jinxed myself, right?"
