"Indeed. We only need the bed after all," Eleanor said.
I blinked and felt my mouth dry for a moment as an insidiously dirty thought latched onto my mind.
The idea of throwing her down into the mattress and pinning her down hard until she couldn't breathe and only shift to gasping out my name–the idea of wiping the arrogant smirk of a princess and making her into a moaning mess passed through my head.
It was a far better thing for me to eat lead or end up dead.
And yet what if she meant it? Impossible.
"Do you have any actual intentions... no, you don't actually have any intentions. We're talking about you after all." I shook my head and picked her up into my arms.
"You speak as if I'm not a human being capable of feeling those things." Eleanor pointed out with a touch of frustration in her voice.
"Well, are you?" I chuckled.
"Human?" Eleanor frowned. "Or the capacity to feel the same as you are?"
