Hotpot

I was sleeping soundly with my fluffy body warmer when I felt as if the earth shook, I darted open my eyes and instantly sat up as I screamed "It's an earthquake!".

When I got a proper look around myself, I saw the unfamiliar yet familiar walls and two faces who were looking at me with a shocked expression.

I saw Qingqing's hand in the air above my above my thighs which were covered with the fur blanket, instead on the ground I was on the hay bed with Qingqing beside me.

Sam was holding a big barrel which was filled with water, he asked if I alright? To which I replied him with a big bright smile, "I'm all good Sam" which instantly brought that bright red blush on his face.

I mean it when I said I was all good, after all who won't be if they got to see a popular idol who is now even your boyfriend, walking half naked the very first thing in the morning.

I turned to my other side and while rubbing Qingqing's head, I wished her a "good morning bimbo~" in a cheerful tone.

She blushed and greeted me the same when another greeting came from behind, "Go.. good morning Kyra!",

I smiled at Sam's words because it was clear he wasn't familiar with this kind of greeting yet he still tried after seeing me and Bai.

I stretched out my arms and walked toward Sam, I took him by a bit of surprise because he stiffened instantly and because of this some of the water got spilled out of the barrel.

I chuckled and rubbed his head messing with his hair, as I said "Good morning Sam~" making him to give me a sunny smile.

"Sister..." suddenly a slow call came for me, I turned to look that Bai was standing behind me while gently holding the hem of my skirt.

I looked at her questioningly when Sam replied to answer me, "Kyra, Qingqing wanted to go to the sand pit and that's why she woke you up".

Ohh! So that's the reason, but why is she hesitating this much? Isn't that something natural and obvious.

I nodded, showing my understanding and asked Sam to tell me the location of this 'sand pit'.

Before starting our walk, I asked Qingqing to give her a piggyback ride but to my surprise her foot was already healed.

Looks like I was pretty wrong in judging Harvey for his professionalism.

Sam volunteered to walk us there, during the walk he told me that it's the public sand pit but he will create a personal one for us near his house. I didn't have any opinion on anything so I was simply nodding on everything they were deciding.

By 'they' I mean Sam and Qingqing because the little girl was telling him about toilets from our world, Sam looked pretty interested in this new thing too so he was asking her if he could make one for us.

Their conversation was ongoing while I was looking around, sunrise was definitely very beautiful with the environment and the coolness that was coming from the cold sand and dew on the grass because we were walking barefoot was pretty refreshing.

The pathway we walked wasn't isolated because there were some stone houses on the sides, but except for two to three random males, I never came across any other living person wether it was a beastman or a female.

"Sam, where are all the villagers? I didn't see any female either.." I asked while looking around as I was walking side by side.

"Males are usually hunting at this time whereas females are probably asleep, even I was surprised when I saw that Qingqing woke up this early, she told me that it's pretty normal from where you are!" he said in his usual excited tone.

I just nodded to show my understanding and again diverted my attention elsewhere.

Just after a couple of minute walk, Sam stopped and while pointing with his finger he said "That place over there is the sandpit. Males aren't allowed near to it so I can only walk you upto here, you can go there by yourselves."

Bai thanked Sam and I took her hand as I walked to our destination, the sandpit was just like as its name symbolize.

For partitioning it from the village there were some wooden frames, I gestured Bai to go on but she hesitated.

The way she was looking in every direction made me sigh, while pushing her back gently with my hand I said "Qingqing, go and do your business fast. Are you waiting for someone to come? No, right? Don't worry, I'll keep watching for you!".

I pushed her upto a pretty hidden place that was surrounded by some bushes, she looked at me and hurriedly nodded.

I went to the other side because it's not like I don't get any kind of nature's call, I looked around to find a vine around a tree with pretty big leaves. This thing can work as toilet paper, right? And with this I plucked some leaves and sat down to do my business.

Looks like eating this much meat indeed did some wonders

With this thought I covered the business with sand and went toward Bai to give her some leaves but I saw that she was already done, on my questioning she replied, "Sister, I asked Sam for a small animal fur piece before coming here" with a smile.

I shrugged my shoulder as I threw the leaves and walked outside the sand area, Sam was still standing where we left him or the other way round.

He smiled as he saw us, we altogether walked back while Qingqing was complaining about the open system without any privacy, she emphasized on how we need a toilet. Sam was pretty much in tune with her, he told her that he will make one soon.

As for me, I didn't care because I was pretty neutral in that situation. If a toilet is made up then of course it will be good for me too but it's not like I'll die without one too, so I interrupted them as I said "Sam, you don't have to hurry up. I don't want to burden you with excess work when you are also busy hunting for the two new persons in you house".

My whole statement was addressed to Sam but the whole time I looked toward Bai. When she saw the cold look in my eyes, she instantly understood the hidden meaning behind my words which made her look down with some guilt.

Looks like someone is learning to grasp onto situations pretty fast.

Sam was about to say something when Qingqing said, "Sister is right, you don't have to hurry up or anything. We will make it eventually."

Sam looked at her and then at me, without saying anything he gave a helpless smile and nodded.

We came back and had our meat-full breakfast by using the leftover spices.

And with this the sun was already up in the sky, we altogether sat down in the room to discuss what we are going to do in the rest of the day.

This was pretty much my idea because I'm used to do all the beforehand planning with all other gang members so it felt pretty normal and nostalgic to me.

So after a discussion we came to a conclusion that we are going to the forest to collect the spices and hopefully some vegetables, if we can.

Sam was hesitant but soon agreed because he knew that the place Harvey visits wasn't far and pretty much safe too.

We started our journey on Sam's back, I wasn't confident wether he could manage to lift us both together or not, but from the pace it was clear that he was fine.

We might have walked just a bit of distance when a leopard jumped out from a bush and landed in front of us.

He turned into his human form and asked "where are you taking my female?"

Sam growled at him, understanding his language Parker looked at us with questions in his eyes and said "If you are going into the forest then I'm coming with you" and before someone could've replied him, he turned back into a leopard and started walking forward.

I looked at him with my irritated eyes, I wanted to say something but I knew that I'll get a leopard growl as a response that I can't even understand which will make it hard for me to end my reply.

When we reached the herb field, I saw my Disney princess plucking leaves from different plants and was putting them into his leather tote bag.

He sensed our arrival and looked in our direction, when he saw Qingqing wearing his handmade dress he smiled with a blush.

We got down from Sam and when he changed back I handed him his fur skirt. He thanked me with a smile and I welcomed him in the same way, Parker looked at us with some relief but still irritated eyes then he turned to look at Bai with expectant eyes to find that she was looking at Harvey.

"Beautiful female!" Parker called out to get her attention and surprisingly he even succeeded but the moment Bai saw that he was standing naked she made an irritated expression as she turned her back towards him and said "Don't you have any kind of shame? Can't you see that there are others around you?" in a pretty annoyed voice.

Go girl go! I'm with you! I cheered her inwardly.

Getting shunned by Qingqing made Parker shocked he instantly looked around to find that he didn't had any clothing to cover himself whereas the other males who were present there were covered.

He instantly turned into his beast form and dashed away, I thought that he might have went somewhere far but he came back instantly while holding a fur in his mouth. He turned back and instantly covered himself, then he looked toward Bai to get her approval. Bai nodded her head when I said "don't tell me Parker that you stole that thing?"

Parker became stiff on my words and looked at me with shock, Sam who was standing beside me acted as if he was sniffing the air and said while making a bothered expression "you're right Kyra, he stole that thing because it smells like another male"

"Tsk tsk Parker, I didn't think you'll drop this low" I added my own opinion as a fuel when Sam complied with me by saying "tsk tsk Parker, I didn't expect you'll do something like this"

Aaannddd..as we wanted I saw that his face turned red because of the embarrassment but he didn't say a single word because he knew that he did the same as we were accusing so he just turned around with a "humph".

I controlled my laugh while supporting my back against Sam's chest who was also laughing, I raised my hand in his direction to see that he looked confused. I grabbed his hand and gave myself a high-five, I told him about high-five and he looked pretty interested so he asked if we could do it again.

I gladly agreed and again raised my hand to find that he gave me a perfect high-five.

I smiled and looked around to find that Bai already started picking the herbs she needed alongside Harvey and Parker was following her like a dog.

I turned to look again at Sam, he was smiling so I grabbed him from his neck as I gave a pretty smooch on his lips.

The moment Sam realized what was happening, he moved his hands to grab onto her waist but before he could've done that he saw that Kyra pulled back and ran away.

I went to Bai and started plucking the thing she was plucking, from time to time Harvey was telling the use of the medicine and Qingqing was learning everything enthusiastically.

I looked at them during their conversation and interrupted by saying "Qingqing, did you thank Harvey?"

I got her by surprise so she asked, "For what Sister?"

"Because he created the dress you're wearing." I replied.

My words shocked her, she looked toward Harvey and thanked him instantly, Harvey instantly got a blush over his face as he tried to say that it was nothing.

I noticed that they both were blushing and gave a pretty satisfied smile when Parker jumped in to destroy the serenity of the environment.

"How can you wear something he made? You're my female yet you're wearing clothes made by him, are you accepting him as your mate?" He said in a pretty loud and irritated voice as he came toward Bai.

Qingqing got startled as she said in a horrified tone "No..no! I didn't accept Harvey as a mate.." as he walked backward.

I grabbed onto her shoulders to stop the trembling girl, I asked Harvey to hold onto her as I moved forward to face Parker, whose vision was stuck at Harvey beside Qingqing.

He huffed in anger and it was clear that he was about to jump onto him when a loud sound came, 'SLAP!'

making the surroundings go silent all at once.

Parker was standing while holding his cheek with a shocked face and I was standing there fuming with anger, I saw him grinning his teeth with annoyance and before he could've said something I said "Did You Just try to scare my sister? How dare you to do that?"

"She is my female! How dare she to accept another male!" He snapped at me in a pretty loud voice but before I could've done something he received a punch on his already red cheek by Sam making him disbalanced.

I looked at him with disgust and said, "you know what Parker? You're even worst than ferals, you're lucky that you're still not Bai's mate because what you've done today would have made you an abandoned male for sure".

His eyes widened at my words and he looked toward Bai who wasn't even looking at him in the eyes while trembling because of him.

Qingqing looked at Harvey and while holding her skirt with trembling hands she said in a meek tone "Ha.. Harvey, I didn't accept you as a male so I'll give you these clothes back. I'm sorry!".

"No! No! Bai qingqing, it's not like this. I just wanted to help you and that's why I asked Sam to give you this, please keep them I request I don't want them back and you don't have to accept me too," Harvey tried his best to calm down her, he wanted to rub her back but hesitated and looked toward Kyra for approval.

I looked at Harvey looking at me with a slight worried face, I know what he was trying to ask so I nodded giving him the permission which made him shocked but without waiting a second he gently patted Qingqing's back.

"Parker, you should go back because once the villagers start to come here and saw you in this state I won't be holding back to tell them the truth." said Sam while holding my hand which got slightly reddened because of the slap earlier.

Damn shit! Just where did this leopard got this thick skin, oh yeah... he's thick skinned .

Parker got up in annoyance and went away, I went to Bai's side and rubbed her head as I said "You don't have to listen what others say, alright?", She nodded like a child.

I cupped her face and asked, "Do you want to keep on wearing these clothes?"

She hesitated so I said "You should be the one deciding for you."

She looked into my eyes and nodded her head, I smiled and took her into my embrace when I saw the flash smile that came upon Harvey's face but was instantly concealed.

After all the drama we again started what we came for, we collected a lot many spices even those which were usually not used as herbs. We searched some more and found some potatoes, yeah those stone fruits but I'll call them what I know.

We found some carrots, cabbages, celery and some other vegetables too. The worried expression on my bimbo's face was soon changed into a happy one as she said that she will make a hot pot today.

We were done and was about to go back when Qingqing whispered in my ear, I looked at her and then at Sam, he smiled and nodded so I gave Qingqing an approving thumbs up making her smile.

She turned and ran toward Harvey who had already covered quite a distance, after sensing her approaching toward him he stopped.

Qingqing looked at him with a smile and asked "Harvey, we are having hotpot for the dinner. Do you wanna join?" He was shocked but soon blushed as he said "I'll surely come" while nodding.

We came back to our stone house, I was holding a wooden log which was two metre long with a thickness of Sam's muscular arm.

For lunch, I ate the leftover meat soup with Bai because according to Sam, males only need to eat two times a day but he still drank a small bowl because I requested him.

When we were done, Bai said that she will start preparing for the dinner so she soon got herself busy and Sam went to hunt.

I went and rummaged through the backpack, I felt the known smooth wooden surface and smiled. I took out my shiny brown folded knife and with a flick, it's shiny and sharp blade came out.

Now to anyone who might be questioning about 'why am I carrying a knife?' so, that's because this is the primary weapon for every street thug. I mean...you need something to scare, right?

I went to Bai and exchanged my knife with the bone knife she was using, after seeing the metal knife her eyes glimmered and she was more than happy to exchange.

She again got herself busy while I took the bone knife and sat down on the house deck with the wooden log.

I didn't know a single thing about carving but I still tried, bone knife wasn't quite sharp but I still didn't want to make my folding knife blunt or even worse.

I kept on working for a long time and I could see the structure that I wanted to make, a baseball bat, why? Because Harley Quinn is my idol and I wanted to shot a stupid leopard in his head.

I looked at my work, and believe me it was the worst baseball bat you would have ever seen. Just when I was deciding about the future of this 'soon to be discarded' bat, Sam came back and saw me outside.

He placed the two wild boars he was carrying aside and came toward me, he looked at the thing in my hand and asked while tucking some hair strands from my face to behind my ear. He sat down and asked about it in curiosity, I explained him that it was a weapon which could be used in playing games or fights!

He covered his upcoming laugh and took the bat from me and started giving it a slight better shape, I kept on looking at him shaving the wood as if it was a menial task for him.

Just after five minutes he gave me the bat that was straight and with a proper shape that I wanted, I looked at the bat and said, "If you have done this much, why don't you smoothen it's surface too" in a pretty sarcastic way.

Surprisingly he understood it because he started laughing and said while looking into my eyes "As you wish my mate~" and took the bat.

He went aside with some leather and stone and started grinding the surface, soon the bat was finished and I tried to lift it and swing it to find that it was pretty nice, not like the one you'll find in stores but it was definitely near to them.

For thanking the boy who was looking at me expectantly, I gave him a peck on his lips making him go flush once again and went inside.
