Jule Valenti was a scummy, two-faced nuisance whose only purpose in COAIS was to make the protagonist's life harder. His first appearance was when he swapped Borealis' tournament invitation with a failed applicant because his younger sister happened to admire him.
Determined to save his fate, Jule decided to befriend the novel's protagonist, Borealis Caskut by recruiting him into his duchy's knight order. Over months and years, they grew close, though Jule always wondered if their peaceful life would ever get interrupted when the main antagonist appears, or if Borealis were to realize that Jule had initially approached him with insincere intentions.
