As he laid down in cold blood after Mr.Swey his boss slid a knife into his neck veins, my father breathed his last in my hands. This incident never left my dreams, mind, soul, and as a teenager was the biggest blow of my life.

We had a fate designed as I would study hard and get a job to end this pain of working with a mafia family. We just got back to our house after I had sold my examination answers at school for the whole term to dumb rich kids. Mr. Swey had put me in the same school with Lance his daughter to act as her bodyguard.

Since I was in a higher grade, I had lots of assignments and work to do adding to that servant's duty at Mr. Swey's mansion. After looking out for Lance during break time at school, in the evening I had to walk back home in case Lance never felt like a company in her car.

Mr. Lincoln my father always kept away the fears, tears, and pain with comfort since my mother had lost her life while bringing me into this nasty world. Now that my father was gone, I had to step up and look forward to my future success plan as a gift I would offer him as he watched me in the clouds where spirits lay.

Whenever I visited him in the cemetery, I would recall how fellow servants at the Sway's mansion worked out the puzzle for my father to get a decent burial. Mrs. Swey was always kindhearted and empathetic so she get my dad a piece of land in the cemetery where his body would be laid to rest eternally. For sure I can't forget her goodness. But her poisonous husband was too furious and surely wanted my father to be fed to their alligator.

Miss Dimitri the Sway's laundry lady took me on as her adopted son since she was barren and had been on good terms with papa. Life with her was good with improved standards since we lived in a beautiful apartment and basic needs were fully provided. Till that one day she was arrested for prostitution, this was embarrassing since it was my last year in high school and my fellow teenagers at school mocked me for that.

life gave me into torture at last when my guardian's apartment was mortgaged by her sister to get her bail but the court failed her demands. Miss Dimitri was sentenced to ten years imprisonment as a punishment. I was then forced to become a detective and know the reason behind this happening to my guardian.

Meddling with all the clues, all roads led me back to my painful past. Mr. Swey wanted her as a mistress but she declined his application so he framed her as a prostitute. Why would search a renowned wealthy man have a big chicken heart? I wondered.

To my surprise, the public high school I attended had this teacher Madame Loyce whose intentions were purely evil. Her offer of extra classes she rendered me to get a college scholarship was a candle in my dark tunnel of life. Only if there were no strings attached. That one fateful day, I got her into my apartment to pay her visit she had informed me that she had fatigue.

I knocked at her door and got no reply. On holding the door handle, the door swung open, and this forty-year-old lady that I respected so much was tempting with her seductive poses. This was the clearest eye-opener that I had dealt with the wrong person. So I left with no word but disgust flashing from my eyes to her shameless body.

A week to my college scholarship entree, I was homeless but Rodney my high school best friend took me over to his apartment where we stayed harmoniously like brothers. later I was fortunate when he got me a part-time job as a waiter at his mother's restaurant. This gave a new Ray of hope to my life as I saved my cash during my college years .
