Chapter 9

Yamato cuts the last remaining Siren Jet heading towards her, after 2 hours of fighting against the Siren fleet. The Empress finally felt relieved because she thought that the fleet they were fighting was endless due to how many ships there were. Yamato sheaths her Katana then hides it inside her kimono outfit as the shipgirls jump aboard on the USS Enterprise.

As their riggings turned back into their original ships. The girls formed a line as the Admiral walked towards them with Enterprise eyeing Yamato with a serious, cold stare.

"Well done, ladies. All of you cleared the Siren fleet without any scratches on you, like what I hoped for." Justin said, slowly clapping his hands.

"Thank you, Admiral." The girls respond together.

"Your performance was like usual, very impressive. So, as the tradition goes, all of you will be getting rewards directly from me based on what you want as long as it's not hard to get or do." Justin said, making the girls happy.

Especially Yamato because she wants to know more about the Admiral due to the false information in the book about Justin.

"All right then, let's go home since we have been inside the mirror seas for two days now." Justin said, shocking Yamato.

"Wait!! We have been here for two days?!" Yamato shouted.

"Yeah, 1 hour and 30 minutes inside here is equivalent to 2 days in the real world." Bremerton said. "Which was a bitch to figure out during the early years of humanity exiting these seas."

"Some researchers thought the people who were assigned to enter these seas died because they weren't back after a day." Helena said. "When humanity slowly understood the mirror seas, they theorized that the Sirens might have some time manipulate ability or device although it wasn't confirmed yet because the Sirens they captured won't tell how they made these seas."

"I see… These seas are more complex." Yamato said.

"Yup, anyway, let's go back to our reality. I don't really like the purple skies here." Justin said.

The girls went back to their ships, and were ready to sail out back to their original reality. Although, before they exited the mirror seas, Yamato felt like someone was watching her, she eventually dismissed this thought as being paranoid because of the depressed atmosphere of the mirror seas.

With the help of small tug boats operated by Manjuus, the girls' ships finally docked beside the piers as they jumped down to the concrete. Yamato was the last one to jump down from her ship, and was planning to talk with the Admiral, but some girls were already talking with him.

Yamato wasn't the type of person to listen into private conversations, but thanks to her enhanced hearing senses she could hear some words being said to the Admiral. A girl that Yamato recognizes as Intrepid, an Essex-Class Aircraft Carrier. Said the word "Traitor" which made Yamato surprised.

The Admiral nodded, then suddenly turned his head towards Yamato, smiling cheerfully and waving his hand. The Empress returned the gesture with an awkward smile, and waved before turning the other way, started walking, and not looking behind her until she was at a safe distance.

"[Traitor? There's a traitor among us?]" Yamato thought. "[I'm only here for a few days, and now there's a traitor on this base! The traitor is probably from another base disguised as one of the Admiral's ships. But I shouldn't try to get myself involved with the traitor or the Admiral will surely dismantle me.]"

Yamato heads to the cafeteria because fighting a Siren fleet surely made her hungry, especially being one of the ships known for using a lot of resources to operate during World War 2. Few minutes of walking, Yamato arrived at the cafeteria then immediately ordered a tower of food.

The cafeteria chef wasn't surprised to hear this kind of order because a lot of ships always order a tower of food after long, and hard missions. Yamato's order was finished, then she went to find an empty table. She found one, and said thanks before eating.

"[I feel like I'm Akagi or Yamato from Kantai Collection eating this much food.]" Yamato thought.

"Slow down, sister. You might choke on the food." A familiar voice said, Yamato turned her head to see Shinano sitting beside her.

"Oh, Shin. What are you doing here?" Yamato asked.

"I figured that you will immediately go here after your mission in the mirror seas. Other ships, including me, always go here in the cafeteria when our mission is done." Shinano said. "So, how's your mission?"

"Quite amazing! I never felt such a life or death feeling before I guess it's because I had little battle experience during World War 2. "Hotel Yamato" I hated that nickname." Yamato said.

"It's alright, sister." Shinano said.

Both of the sisters began to eat their food together, even though Shinano had little food on her plate unlike Yamato with a tower of food with ice cream on top.

Yamato, and Shinano were in the shopping district of the base looking at different products being sold. Shinano pulled her older sister towards something that really got her attention.

"Sister, look!" Shinano said she pulled Yamato to a store. "Look, it's your ship as a cute chibi charm."

Shinano picked up the chibi version of Yamato's massive ship, surprisingly that there's already merchandise of Yamato even though she arrived in the base like 3 days ago. Yamato grabbed the charm, and smiled, she looked over to the seller.

"How much?" Yamato said.

"It's $2, but it's in the house, Empress Yamato." The seller said.

"I see, is there Shinano's ship too?" Yamato said, the seller nodded. "Okay, give me one, but this time I will pay."

The seller went to grab the charm of Shinano's ship, Yamato pulled out $2 dollars out of her breasts pocket then paid the seller as she gave the charm to Yamato.

"Thank you." Yamato said.

Yamato attached the charm of Shinano's ship on her golden bracelet, and smiled. She attached her ship to Shinano's choker. Shinano looks at the charm, then smiles brightly like a small child getting candy for being good as a reward. The Priestess hugged the Empress.

"Thank you." Shinano said. "I will never feel like I'm alone anymore."

Yamato pats her little sister's head as Shinano hugged tightly, the moment was so wholesome, and heartwarming. Suddenly, it has to be ruined by someone.

"Miss Yamato, the Admiral requested your presence." A cold familiar voice said.

Yamato looked over to the person, and sees Enterprise looking at her with a cold, murderous stare like she wants to kill Yamato right here, and now.

"Why?" Yamato asked.

"Just follow me." Enterprise said. "[You damn filthy "Empress" fox whore.]"
