Chapter 1Confusion

//Please be aware that I'm not very good at starting novels so itll be a bit shaky until I can find my footing which should be around the 3rd chappy or so. I hope you like it.

---------------

Juda slowly opened his eyes, black sclera paired with reddish hues slowly becoming visible as the youth blinked once; twice; three times as he sought to banish the heavy feeling residing within his eyelids. Even after he was rid of the lethargic feeling though, his body refused to move and his chest felt unnaturally tight, as if he were being pinned down by some force he couldn't see. He wanted to push himself off the ground and onto his feet yet he found himself incapable of even wiggling as the unseen weight kept him locked in place.

"MOM, HE'S ALIVE!!!"

A shout, loud enough to rupture his eardrums, echoed around the white haired youth as he struggled to comprehend what was happening. His brain was lagging behind, temporarily making him a complete dumb*as who couldn't even muster up enough IQ points to form a coherent thought. The only sound that escaped his lips were groans as he fumbled over himself, confusion and exhaustion clouding his vision. After a few seconds, the pressure located on his chest disappeared, allowing him some form of movement which he used to maneuver his head, attempting to glance around at his surroundings.

"Easy there," A soft voice beside him murmured. "You dont want to move too fast in case theres internal damage. You fell from pretty high up."

Juda immediately shifted his gaze towards the direction the voice had come from, eyes narrowing in on a woman in her late twenties to early thirties. With fair skin, brown hair and eyes, and such a worried look on her face, the young man couldn't help but feel at peace with the current situation despite he himself still being immensely confused on what exactly was happening. The woman radiated motherly instincts to a level that was almost tangible, erasing all sense of danger and hesitation that Juda might have had and allowing him to fully relax.

With a newfound sense of security irrationally given by the strange lady, the adolescent took the time to gather himself, attempting to piece together just what the hell was going on.

(("Okay, come on Juda. You need to pull it together. Nap time is over.")) Juda took a deep breath as he pushed himself into a sitting position. (("Put on your big boy panties and think."))

The last thing Juda had remembered was falling asleep within the woods, that much was certain. Having gotten tired from all the walking around and tree climbing he normally did on his days off from school, he had decided to rest a bit on a small pile of dead, dry leaves before heading home. He had been a mile or two into the woods so the odds of someone finding him within the time it took for him to take a short nap were pretty low, especially when one took into account that most refrained from going into the woods in the first place. It also seemed highly unlikely that, even if someone had found him, they would pick him up and bring him to their own home.

Despite all the uncertainties, one thing was clear. He was no longer in the forest.

Juda was positioned on a fluffy black couch, a large blanket thrown over him with all of his clothes except his boxers removed. The sofa was on one side of a rather large living room with a large flat screen shoved into the front, facing towards the same couch the red eyed youth was sitting on. From his spot, he could could see the kitchen off to his left while to his right was a long hallway, presumably where the bedrooms were located. While the layout of the home didnt provide much information, it did help Juda rewire his brain and bring him back up to speed, allowing him to once again think at full capacity.

"How do you feel?" The lady asked gently, interrupting Juda's scan of the building. "Can you remember anything?"

Once again shifting his attention onto the motherly figure, Juda pondered on how he should respond to her question. He had so many of his own queries that he wanted answered, most of which were pretty valid to ask given the current scenario but he held off, seeking instead to let everything play out.

"I feel fine," Juda finally responded. "Just a little stiff. My memory is kinda foggy of the recent events but other then the short term memory loss, my long term is hella decent."

The woman smiled, a warm grin that showed off her pearly white teeth. "Well, that's good to hear. I was worried that you weren't even alive considering the height from which you fell."

(("Height?")) Juda felt lost which must've shown on his face as the lady merely tilted her head and went on to explain what had happened.

"I was seeing my son off, of whom was going to start his journey earlier today, when all of a sudden you came crashing down from the sky. For some reason though, despite creating a crater the size of my home, you came out of that whole incident unscathed, and with an egg no less." The womans voice was filled with disbelief as she pushed herself off of her knees and onto her feet. It seemed she herself still didnt believe what she had witnessed as she walked away towards the kitchen. "It felt wrong to just hand you over to anyone else so me and Ash took you back with us."

Silence. That's all Juda could manage as he attempted to wrap his depleting sanity around the story. Dropping from a large height was something he would've felt, even if he had been in the deepest sleep of his life, he would have felt the pain or at least the familiar drop in his gut that told him he was falling. Hell, the drop itself made no sense whatsoever as he recalled being on the ground when he initially took his nap, stacked on a pile of leaves, leaning up against a fallen tree.

(("Height? Crash? Crater? Egg?")) Juda felt like he was grasping at straws as he attempted to find some lie within the story. Any lie at all. (("It just doesnt add up....wait a minute."))

Tossing the blanket aside, Juda sprung up from the couch, easily bouncing onto his feet as he raced towards the front door, his heart pounding like crazy. He had a strong gut feeling that he wasnt gonna like what lay on the other side of the door, but he yanked it open anyways, needing answers as much as he needed to breathe. If what he was thinking was right then he was about to put Dorothy to shame the moment he stepped outside, realizing he wasnt in Kansas anymore.

Completely disregarding his own lack of clothing, Juda charged out of the house, making it a good ways down the pathway before finally stopping, breathing uneven and heartbeat speeding a mile a minute.

"F*ckin hell," Juda muttered as he gazed around, eyes flickering back and forth rapidly. "I hate it already."

There was nothing more that Juda hated then his own ignorance, besides his hatred for those that seemed to think they knew it all. When something seemed impossible, Juda would always be the first to claim it to be unlikely but never an impossibility, because he knew himself that nothing was ever concrete. If he didnt know something, he would stop at nothing to gather the necessary information before ever acting like he knew all about it. It was his own policy to never write off any possibility and to look at all angles to figure things out, playing the detective role rather then the role of the leader.

With that being said, Juda Cicero had written off the lady's story for however so briefly purely because he had some preconceived notion that it was something that couldn't have ever happened. The lady had no reason to lie, to make up some story to a random stranger, and yet the white haired teenager had been so quick to write it off as incorrect when all he really had to do was go outside and see for himself. The evidence was smacking him in the face and here he was confused and mentally accusing the nice woman of lying to him.

Waves of luscious, green grass spread outwards, covering nearly everything in sight, save for the areas in which dirt pathways ran along, connecting other houses to a much larger street most likely meant for cars. The landscape wasnt smooth as the land dipped and rose in multilple places, giving the place a beautiful look as the hills lead all the way to the edge of the trees a few miles away. Off in the distance, Juda could see a large hill with an enormous edifice situated on top, a windmill placed next to it.

No matter how he looked at it, the young man found himself somewhere entirely new, separated from the small town he once called his home.

"Are you okay?" The womans asked as she stepped up, placing a hand on Juda's shoulder. "Is something the matter?"

"Yeah," Juda responded as he regained his composure. "Where exactly am I? What state am I in?"

He wasnt even sure he wanted to know the answer to his questions but it was better to simply rip tha bandaid off as quickly as possible so as to regain some form of sanity and logic.

"Well, I dont know about state but right now your in Pallet Town which is situated within the region of Kanto." The woman smiled as she gestured towards the house. "My name is Delia Ketchum. Come on. Let's get you some clothes to put on."

//For those few who will complain about where I started my story, just know that Ash and his mother will have little place in the story. Him landing in Kanto and in Pallet Town no less is simply part of my larger plan.

I may have been slacking on my 3 a day but rest assured I'll get on it. This will be the only time a chapter of mine falls below 2k words. I hope you enjoy this Prologue better then the others.

Pokemon Alternate Universe Adventures

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.
