เรื่องย่อ

The Lamb of God, or Lion of Judah opens the first four of the seven seals, which summons forth four beings that ride out on white, red, black, and pale horses. Although some interpretations differ, in most accounts, the four riders are seen as symbolizing Conquest, War, Famine, and Death, respectively.

I will try to write an objective as possible review: First of all I have to give credit where credit is due. The idea behind the story has a lot of potential and fits really well into the world of dxd. Sadly that is the only positive thing I could find with the story so far. Of course everyone should build their own opinions about it after reading this review. Now for the negatives in the hope it will help the author to improve his overall writing skills. The worst thing about this story is, as in a lot of stories on webnovel, the grammar. In my opinion it is the most important aspect of a good story and no I will not just let it slide. The greatest stories are no use if you can‘t understand or barely understand them at all. It is really tiring to have to guess every word and mentally reconstruct every sentence just to be able to guess what happens in the storyline. The next point(´s) on the list are the characters. As I said before the idea of the four riders has merit but the reader gets no background knowledge to their (seemingly different purpose to the biblical/original purpose of the riders) background and/or purpose in the world of dxd. Instead they just hang around the „rias-gang“ while implying some highter goals but don‘t really act on any kind of plan but instead behave like 5 year old kids, drugged with emotion enhancing chemicals who on top of it have (some?) strong(?) powers (which don‘t really align with the different riders in my opinion) on which they act on a whim like a burned down house(like wtf?!). As of my knowledge the riders of the apocalypse are the messengers of the end, initiating the literal end, hence following some kind of plan, which these riders seemingly don‘t. the only character development we really got in my opinion is the discription of the few character traits which most people would associate with for example the rider of war (raging, bloodlust etc.). Of course I may have overseen some lines but as I said before, I was mostly occupied with reconstructing the sentences and so not really getting into the story as much as I would have liked. The last point on my list is the world building. Again not much is given. Here and there a line saying time and place but that‘s it. Little tip on the side: a good story is like a painting, in which you paint a story with words. Of course since it is a fanfiction most readers are already familiar with the used universe but it would definetely increase the quality of the story if it were included. As you may have surmised from my review so far I am not impressed by the story so far despite the granted good idea of the crossover (dxd/riders). From me it will only receive one star max but I wish the author only the best of luck for improving his writing. Cheers
