"What?" Derek exclaimed not seeing why Vincent wanted to continue dying but then it clicked with him afterward. "You want to lure him out with your death."
"Bingo. My uncle won't sit still if he thinks I am dying. It'd be a good idea to act remorseful and try to take my spot since Victor has no plans of becoming the leader. We're going to use this to get rid of him one time. My parent's death, the vampires, and getting someone to poison me. We need to uncover all of it while he is distracted," said Vincent.
"Excuse me but why are you talking about your plans in front of me? You should not trust me," Mari shyly spoke up.
"It's obvious you won't be going anywhere to tell what we have been speaking of. You are going to be imprisoned and put on trial for what you did." Derek wanted to be apologetic for what she would face in the future but stopped himself. Though she was only trying to protect her family, she still had to be punished for her actions.
