For unknown reasons, my heart made a thump sound at the mention or his name.

He was now in my room, sitting on my bed.

In the quiet room, we stared at each other.

"Have you been crying?" He asked with narrowed eyes.

I quickly rubbed my palms on my cheeks to check for any signs of tears but there was none.

"Your eyes lack total light" He brought his head closer to my face for a proper study "Your eyes are sad" He voiced lit what he saw.

"Oh...."

Pete always knew when something was wrong with me.

"What happened?" He inquired but I shook my head. "Is this because of Barry's sudden disappearance or something else?"

That name had to be mentioned again.

I rubbed my lips together. "I am not just in a good mood today" I answered not giving him the perfect reply.

"Oh." He whispered. "I'm sorry about that, Pixie"
