Chapter 1 - It’s A Boy!

{Congratulations on being born! Your parents call you Micky Geist, and so my host will be called Micky.}

Micky's eyes were closed, and he was silent. Silent for a baby, that is. Though while he was silent, he was definitely conscious. He listened to the voice in his head with curiosity. He did not exactly know what the words meant, but somehow he understood them.

{Micky, my name is the Technopath System, and I have been given to you by means unknown, to this world you have been born into. I am here to help you understand what my purpose is.}

More words that Micky had heard, and he still understood them. He did not know how he understood these words, but he did not understand the words that the people around him spoke.

His mouth was placed towards something soft, and, instinctually, he started to suckle. A warm liquid was brought into his mouth, and he slowly swallowed it.

{I, the Technopath System, am able to grant you incredible powers. Though since you've just been born, I'll only be able to grant you one such power.}

{Internet Access - allows the user of the system to access the internet, also giving the user the ability to understand the internet.}

Micky carefully listened to the system as it spoke to his mind. This system, he understood, was incredibly powerful. Yet as he was just brought into the world, he wouldn't be able to use the entirety of the system. Something told him that if he did have the entire system at the time, it wouldn't end well for him.

{Brace yourself, Micky. Now granting you Internet Access.}

The knowledge of the new power, Internet Access, flowed into his mind slowly but surely. He was taught how to use Internet Access. How to access different sites.

And additionally, he was taught how to read and understand the Internet. He learned how to read numbers and letters, how to use the dictionary, how to use a calculator, and many more things that would help him understand the Internet.

{Congratulations on attaining the power, Internet Access, Micky. As you grow older and use the Internet more, the powers I will give you will also increase, based on what you may need.}

Micky, now with a head full of knowledge, understood this system, and then decided to use Internet Access. A screen appeared in front of his closed eyes, featuring what he had understood to be a browser, and it's name was Technopath's Browser. There was some text that told him to ask a question, by entering it into the box right under it.

"What is the world I live on?"

With lightning-fast processing speed he was taken to a website that explained the entirety of the world he lived on.

Earth is the only planet in this solar system that harbors human life. Humans have lived on earth for over 200,000 years, and only one hundred years ago, a phenomena caused people with powers to appear. Super strength, super speed, flight, teleportation, pyromancy, cryomancy, and so many more abilities had appeared.

But with these powers, the power hungry, now called villains, emerged. They used their newfound powers to commit many crimes. Robbery, murder, overall destruction of the world.

Around that time, Heroes also emerged to stop these villains. They worked to stop the villains, and bring hope to the people. These heroes were truly great people who others had admired.

Micky now had understood what this world was like. It was full of people with different powers. He wasn't the only one that had a power.

Micky entered another question into the Technopath Browser:

"Is there anyone with a power like mine?"

{No, Micky. Nobody in this world wields Technopathy.}
