HEY

He started walking towards it after rolling his eyes at me. He was balancing his shopping in his hands heading towards the back seat. I went around it admiring the vehicle shamelessly. What? I don't even have a scooter.

"You gonna get in? "Is what he asked and got my attention. I looked to him and he was giving a look of I think something in the lines of, 'Get over it! ' And I was about to say something when he got in the car and honked. Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. I opened the passenger door and hopped in feeling out of place since the soft fancy leather seat of black and red looked like they were made for royalty. The dashboard I tell you! At this point I was cut off from my thoughts when he said quite agitated.

"No legs on my dashboard! "And he eyed me what looked like challenging me and I rolled my eyes then sank in the seat placing my head on the headrest staring out the window. The car was ride was uncomfortable and the silence wasn't helping. He turned on the radio and it was the only noise in the car for a while. I was lost in thought now actually regretting why I quickly got in a car of a guy I didn't even know his name. Speaking of which...

"The name's Skai. "His deep voice said without sparing me a glance.

I tried the name out silently, "Sky "And then I blurted in all my savage glory,

"Wow, your parents just love the sky so much they made you to call it. I would sue them it were me, I mean, what kind of name seriously is that? Were they... " I cringed when I realized they were not just thoughts any more and he was looking at me amused and somehow shocked.

He lowly chuckled then said, "It's Skai as in S- K -A- I . My dad is Noel and his dad is Ches ,his dad was Lesley . " Then chuckled again. Like Skai Jackson?

"Oh! " Is all I could manage feeling embarrassed and I lost count how many times that has happened today. The rest of the way was silent and I was glad for it because I was done making a fool out of myself for like eternity. Cough! Cough! ' You wish!' Says my inner voice.

True to his words, his place isn't far and now we are in front of a big black gate that is slowly and steadily opening revealing a very posh house I only see in movies and some other neighborhoods I've been to. Yes, those they call arrogant constructions.

I quickly step out of the vehicle as soon as he drives us in and parks.

"Wow! When you think you have seen it all. " I point to the car he is now leaning on the open driver's door.

He is looking at me expressionless or maybe it is something, look, I don't know these things! When I turn around to look back at the house, I hear him curse under his breath but I don't bother looking because I presume he is fed up with me.

A few seconds later, he passes by me with his shopping walking towards the front porch which is huge and on a raised ground You had to go some five steps to reach it.

'Now this will take a little effort getting used to when I ever come back here... '

And I literally just stop on the second step to ask myself,

"What? "

"Hmm? " Skai enquires and I just smile at him.

Smiled! Yes and he smiled back ever so sweetly. Now I feel glued to the spot and paralyzed too. We are still staring at each other smiling sheepishly and I mean myself here, when the door suddenly swings open and upon seeing the figure at the door, my smile widened.

WHAT?!

" Hello ,I'm Mitch ." 

Wider smile.

I just wave and turn around to see Skai rolling his eyes looking pretty pissed. I look back at the guy who introduced himself as Mitch and he still has a smile on. I swear if he keeps doing that his mouth would tear up. But he's cute and my height and...

"Mitch why are you here? " Skai asks cutting off my fantasy sequence.

"It's not just me. Everyone is here. Surprise, brother. " Mitch says overly excited showing off left dimpled smile.

Brother!  I could swear they look nothing alike but to be fair, I don't look like my brother or parents at all. But  trust me there are people who always think we resemble each other and they actually see the similarities. Weirdos. Anyway...

"You guys should leave, I don't want you here. " Skai says in a tone of finality, bossiness and arrogance. So I laugh. He looks at me weirdly then pushes his way into the house with the shopping bags.

"Come in... " Mitch says jovially.

I look at him and ignore that I was supposed to tell him my name. I know, I know. To my defense I just wanted to be a little stubborn but I don't even know why. Scratches back of neck awkwardly. So I just blink at him.

He tries again, "Don't be shy I'm a super awesome guy and I won't try to steal you from your boyfriend, but how rude of him to leave you out here ." He smiles again and for a second I just stare at his handsome face noticing his blue eyes widening and seeming brighter when he smiles. Cute left dimpled smile. Then I remembered what he said and snapped out of it pushing him out of the way and stepping into the house .

"I just met the guy, dude! " I say not even looking at him then started walking through the hallway leading to I don't know where.

I just know I am walking and there is someone behind me talking nonstop saying what I couldn't care less to get in a kind of high pitched voice but sorta manly tenor too. Until I reach the end of it and I see I was headed straight for the bathroom. Yeah kill me now!

With shoulders dropped I turn around to see Mitch standing far back looking at me expressionless but that's not what caught my attention, there's like a million people with him to some doorway. Oh look at that! I seriously suck and I know it.
