6. The Funeral

A few moments later, the Third Hokage and his Anbu corps arrived only to see Ieyasu with Narumi on his hands and the dead body of Minato and Kushina.

"Wh-what happened, Ieyasu-kun...?" ⟨Hiruzen⟩

"I'll tell you later, Ji-chan. For now, could you please bring the bodies of my late parents first to be buried later." ⟨Ieyasu⟩

Hiruzen nodded as ordered his Anbu corps to brought them back to the village. He then approached the boy and patted his head softly.

"Let's go back, Ieyasu-kun." ⟨Hiruzen⟩

"Un..." ⟨Ieyasu⟩

He got up and dusted himself and Narumi before going together with the Third Hokage to their village. There's nothing happened on their way as Ieyasu was focusing on Narumi this whole time.

Shortly after, they arrived in the village. As the day was already at night, Ieyasu quickly went to his home that was fortunately not get wrecked by the Kyubi.

He opened the fridge and took out a baby formula out of there before making one for Narumi. Luckily, his mother always prepared for anything like this. After finished drinking, Narumi yawned as she was sleepy of all that happened today.

He entered the room that supposed to be his little sister's room as put her down on the crib and waited for a while until she fell asleep completely. With his little sister being asleep soundly, Ieyasu also laying down beside the crib as he closed his eyes.

'Just wait a little, mom, dad, I'll master this power in no time and wake you two up.' Thinking this, he closed his eyes completely and have a dreamless sleep.

The next day, Ieyasu woke up from his little sister's cry. Seeing that, he immediately carried her in his hand and console her softly. After crying for a while, Ieyasu finally able to stop Narumi's cry as she was now staring at him cutely.

Unknowingly, she grasped his finger with her little hand and brought it close to her face. He could feel the softness of her cheeks as a small smile formed on his stoic face. He promised to himself that he'll always protect her smile not matter what happened.

While waiting for the Third Hokage to come and pick him up, Ieyasu make a breakfast for himself and baby milk for Narumi. A few hours later, the Third Hokage arrived at his house and pick him up.

At funeral, many people gathered dresses in black. They're all here to attend the funeral of the Hero of the Konoha, the Fourth Hokage and his wife, and everyone that was killed in the Kyubi Incident.

In the middle of them, a boy wearing a white shirt under black v-neck sweater and black pants, and on his hand is a flower. He has dark red hair and dull blue eyes. He was walking towards the two coffins ahead of him.

There above the coffins, two pictures was placed. To the right is a picture of a man with yellow blond hair, blue eyes, he has a smile adored to his handsome face. While the other is a woman with the most beautiful red hair and grey eyes. These are the pictures of Minato and Kushina.

The boy, Ieyasu arrived in front of their coffins and placed his flower right in the middle of the two pictures. Finishing his silent prayers, he got up and dusted himself before walking away from there and approached Hiruzen who was carrying Narumi on his hand.

"Ji-chan, there is something I want to ask." Ieyasu said and took Narumi from his hand. Hiruzen who heard that immediately turned to look at him and said to go on.

"Can I get enrolled into the Academy earlier?" ⟨Ieyasu⟩

"Huh...!? If I may know Ieyasu-kun. Why?" ⟨Hiruzen⟩

"At this time, an increase in the number of ninja is very necessary. We're vulnerable now, and don't know what will happen later when suddenly the other hidden village attacked." ⟨Ieyasu⟩

"You're right about that, but what'll you do to Narumi-chan here?" ⟨Hiruzen⟩

"Let's just say, I've mastered Shadow Clone jutsu." He said, of course lying as he doesn't know how to use it, but there's one scroll of Shadow Clone jutsu he sees on the basement where his parents stored valuable things.

'Sigh... Minato... what have you teach to your child this whole time...' Hiruzen sighed and looked up before looking at Ieyasu again. Sighing again, Hiruzen nodded affirmatively and said that he can.

"The Academy will be started in a month time. I'll pick you up at that time." ⟨Hiruzen⟩

After that, Hiruzen lead Ieyasu together with Narumi to his office. He asked him about what happened at the time when the Kyubi was teleported out of the village.

Before answering though, Ieyasu used one of the usage of Soul Sovereign, Soul Eye, it is an ability that allows him to see through the soul of everything.

"There're some rats in here, Ji-chan. Could you drive them away?" ⟨Ieyasu⟩

From his Soul Eye, he sees two people was hiding in the room even though all of the ANBU guarding the room was already ordered to get out. The two persons spying on them turned out to be the member of Root.

"Danzo... Sigh... I've already said to disband Root and yet, he still dare to show them in front of me..." ⟨Hiruzen⟩

"It's just shows how incompetent you are, Ji-chan." ⟨Ieyasu⟩

The words of Ieyasu immediately silenced him as he coughed a little to avoiding the topic and said to continue with the story. Ieyasu sighed and said the full story of how the Masked Man suddenly appeared, and then how his fight with him, then lastly about how the Kyubi could be sealed into two different person.

Surprise was understatement for Hiruzen's state right now. As his jaw's dropped down the floor, figuratively. He was also at the same time angry and sad that his wife, Biwako also died in the accident.

And like what he expected, Hiruzen make the information into an S-rank secret and said not to tell anyone about it.

That night, Ieyasu was in the basement. In front of him lay many books, jutsu scrolls, and seals while on his hand is the Shadow Clone jutsu scroll.

After understanding it's mechanism, he got up and tried it. A cloud of smoke appeared in front of him and when the smoke disappeared, an identical clone of him could be seen.

"With my current Chakra control, I could easily make one or more of the clones." ⟨Ieyasu⟩

And so, Ieyasu make a total of 20 clones before telling them to read everything in the basement. And another 20 to learn about Seal and practicing with them. There're many tools used to create Seals in the basement, so he could freely experimented on them for a while.
