We live in a world shrouded with mysteries. Some remain unsolved for eternity while some get solved too easily. Some are better unsolved, while some are necessary to be solved. How much do we know about the world? About life or death? Very little. But we all believe in some sorts of philosophies. Why do we believe it? It’s just a leap of faith. They say that seeing is believing. But when you get life, it’s too early to see and when you get death, it’s too late. A lot of people have that leap of faith in the philosophies they believe. But in the end, it’s still just a lot of people, not whole humanity. Not everyone can have that leap of faith most people have. They just believe what they see or feel.
My brethren, be strong in the Lord. In the power of His might, put on the armor of God. For only then, might you be able to stand even against the Devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood. But against principalities... against powers... against darkness...and...against PURE WICKEDNESS.
...
Somewhere in Atlantis city, in a dark alleyway, two women standing against each other, one in black while the other in white. One of them was wearing a white turtleneck sweater and a white bootcut pant. She gave off a different vibe than most other women. The other one was a girl in her early-20s wearing a plain black suit which made her look like some sort of hunter. But what caught the eyes most was her dazzling green eyes.
"Oh how annoying!", said the white-dressed woman as she slowly turned into her demon form. A red mist appeared and covered her body slowly turning most of her body into plain white as if she was drowned in white paint with strokes of black in different parts of her body. Her eyes turned bright red. On the middle of her chest was an insignia that resembled her name.
The brown-haired girl summoned her steel chain whip from one of her tattoos. She slowly started chanting some spells while she was preparing to battle the demon in front of her.
"The guild of providence and its noisy servants...Ha...Keep muttering your prayers and I'll give you something to pray about!", saying so she dashed towards the brown-haired girl attacking with her palm infused with mana.
The brown-haired girl swung her whip to instantly attack the dashing demon but only for the demon to dodge. The demon kept on laughing maniacally as she kept on continuing her attacks. The girl yanked her whip back to defend herself. She still held onto her chanting at that situation.
"So noisy. For the love of your precious God-
Shut-
Up!", screamed the demon as she slashed at the girl with her claws which were blocked by the girl's whip.
"See? There, nice and quiet!", she kept on laughing as she attacked her again. The girl instantly swung her whip which pierced through the demon's left arm.
"Guh! Ugh! I'll make you regret that", said the demon as she huffed because of the excruciating pain she felt.
The girl immediately started chanting, "Heavenly King, lend me your power so that I make known your will for which I am an ambassador in chains."
The demon instantly thudded as if the gravity force suddenly increased. "Huh? What is this?", she said trying to get up from the floor but to no avail. A circle of light appeared around her on the floor pulling her towards it.
"In the name and by the power of our Lord-"
"What are you doing?"
"May your wickedness be purged from this world. Evil serpent…May you be snatched away and driven out of this world"
As she kept chanting several chains of light tied up the demon.
"The most High commands you… Err… The Most High commands you… Commands you"
"I forgot what comes next!" She cursed inwardly.
The demon kept wondering what she was doing.
"Samantha!!! What comes next? After something about the most High?" yelled the brown-haired girl.
Hearing her friend scream like that in the middle of a fight she got angry with a look of hate.
"Goddamnit, Isabella! I'm kind of really fucking busy right now!" She said as she stepped on several demon corpses while shooting the attacking demons with her holy gun.
"Ah, shit!"
It was at that moment when the chained demon snapped the light chains and immediately attacked the brown-haired girl called Isabella.
"Whew! I really thought you were never going to shut up. Hmm… What did I say I was going to do again? Oh yes, that's right! I was going to make you really regret that!!!''
As the demon was about to slash Isabella Samantha hit the demon's head with her gun knocking out the demon.
"Idiot. You might be a talented exorcist but talent doesn't mean shit. If you can't remember the most basic spells, you lazy stupid idiot!!!" Samantha said angrily at Isabella.
"Aha…But Samantha you always do the spells for me anyway," said Isabella with a smile of embarrassment.
"You nearly ruined the entire mission!!! Do you expect me to keep babying? You absolute-"
**Ring**Ring**
"Hello? Yes, it's Samantha… Yes, we've taken care of it. Uh-huh. Yup. Ok. Right. See you soon."
"Come on, Isabella. Let's clean up this mess." Samantha said being annoyed.
"Let's go home."
"Yeah"
"Wait, I have something I need to do first." saying so Isabella paid her prayers for the deceased killed by the demons.
"I'm sorry. We were too late."
"We'll do better. Now come on. Let's go." Samantha said consoling her mourning friend.
"Right."
