Information And The Freedom Association

After Eren finished healing Kaval and Gido, they led Akuma through the city. As Akuma was following the group of young adventurers, he started to process the information he received from eating the man's life force, an ability that was granted to him in his birth by the Demon King. The ability to receive all the knowledge a person gathered in his life by eating his life force.

'So, I'm currently in the Kingdom of Blumund. A country that is so small that all the nobles are feudal lords of villages. The capital is the only large city, and is also where I'm currently at, and is where Blumund's Freedom Association Branch is.

The Freedom Association, Adventurer's Guild, are a guild that provides a setting that no other organization has. Guild Members, also called adventurers, are able to freely move between different countries, which allows them to operate in a more free way, hence the guild's name.

An adventurer is a Freedom Guild member who either goes foraging, subjugating, or hunting on request. Some take on different types of tasks, but most people still refer to them by the generic term, adventurer. This is why I felt a lot of stronger people in one specific place, which I assume is the Freedom Association Branch.

There is also a lot of other basic information about the world itself, of the different species, other countries and people the man knew.

Interestingly enough, there are also demons here, but they are a whole different species from the demon clan, as they are some kind of a spiritual being, and there are even multiple demon lords, but the man's information of them is not great.

The strongest beings in this world are true dragons, but as with demons, dragons are very different here, unlike the mere wild beasts they are in my world, or shall I call it my previous world?

Anyway, the True Dragons are the highest spiritual beings and are considered the strongest existence in the world, with the power to annihilate anything in their way, but they are not invincible, as the Storm Dragon, Veldora, was defeated by the famous Summoned Hero. The hero imprisoned him in a cave in the Great Forest of Jura, where a lot of monsters resign, and the target of many adventurers' Akuma thought as he looked around, but was taken out of his thoughts when he heard someone calling him.

"-ter, Mister!" he heard Eren said and looked in front of him to see the pout on the girl's face and her confused companions

"Oh sorry. I was just thinking that the architecture of this city truly is different than in my home country. What were you saying?"

The girl's pout only deepened as she said:

"I was calling you for minutes and you were ignoring me! I said that you never told us your name!"

"I didn't? I'm sorry, that was very rude of me. I'm Akuma. A pleasure" Akuma said with a smirk and a wink, and once again kissed the back of her hand, causing the girl to blush again and turn her head to the side, saying:

"You don't have to be so formal..."

"But that is the only way to introduce myself for such a beautiful and refined young lady such as yourself!" Akuma said, his smirk getting wider

"B-Beautiful!? Don't flatter me like that!" Eren said, her blush only deepening

Kaval sniffled in laughter, saying:

"Refined..."

"What are you laughing about?" Eren exclaimed in anger and stomped on Kaval's foot, causing the man to shriek in pain, and hold his leg, while jumping on one leg, looking comical from an observer's eye

"Anyway, Akuma-San, what I wanted to say from the start was that we have arrived at the guild!" Eren said and pointed at the end of the road, where a 5-story building stood.

Akuma observed the building, and as he thought, this building is the place where the stronger people in the city were located.

"Hurry, Akuma-San! Let me show you around!" Eren said excitedly and grabbed his hand, dragging him along into the building, her two companions quickly following behind.

As they entered, Akuma could feel the change in temperature, and from a quick observation, he could tell that the temperature was regulated by magic.

'A magic that regulates the temperature? Just like what the man knew, it seems that the magic system in this world is a lot more complex. Here, no one has a unique power only he can use, except for skills, but most can be taught, and those that can't, are called unique skills, but one man can have multiple unique skills so it's not the same. It's like I'll have both my original magic power and the old man's power. Such a thing in my previous world is outrageous and impossible...'

"The room is separated into three different sectors. There's the sales sector, which is for items that you found or went to obtain on missions are brought. This is also where I and the others will go next.

The general sector, which is used by beginners like us and civilians. It's also where you go to register or retire from the guild, and where civilians submit missions. That's where you should go if you want to become an adventurer and earn money. With the power that you displayed earlier, it'll be easy for you to become a successful and highly ranked adventurer!

And lastly, there is the adventurers' sector, which can only be used by authorized adventurers. That is where C-ranked adventurers or higher accept missions. The rest are going to the general sector.

On the board that you see on the wall, there are different missions that were submitted, each of them is ranked by difficulty, and if you want to accept a mission, you take the paper of the mission off the board and take it to the sector of your rank.

We need to go to the sales sector and receive our payment. We'll meet you outside of the guild after you finish" Eren explained

"You were truly helpful, Eren. Without you today, I would've been lost" said Akuma with a gentle smile

"I-It was nothing! You were the one who saved me- I mean us! Without you, Kaval and Gido would've been injured more gravely, and they probably would've raped me and took all of our money!" Eren said with a light blush, using her finger to play with her hair, looking anywhere but him.

"Yeah man, we're just happy to help!" said Kaval with a grin

'Even though you didn't do anything...' Akuma thought and deadpanned innerly

"Thank you. I'll meet you guys outside after I finish register in the guild!" Akuma said and waved, as he turned around and started to walk to the general sector. The general sector had multiple counters lined up, and each counter had a pretty little receptionist to greet the people.

'Every negotiation and discussion is a lot smoother when a pretty girl is the one who does it... at least whoever runs this place has a good head on his shoulders' Akuma thought as he approached one of the free counters. As the receptionist saw him approaching, a wide bright smile plastered on her face, together with a light blush, seeing a handsome and well-built young man approaching.

"Hello there sir, and welcome to the Freedom Association! What can I do for you today?"

"I would like to get registered to the guild please?"

"That's great! Then if you would please fill up this form, we could proceed to make you a guild member!" the receptionist said

"Thank you for joining the Freedom Association! You are now a guild member! Would you like me to give you one of the recommended beginner's missions?"

"Thank you, but not at the moment. I have a previous obligation"

"Then have a good day sir!" the receptionist beamed a smile at him and said as he turned and left the building.

Outside of the building, he spotted Kaval and Gido standing near a building, and on a sign that was on it, that said: "Magic Store"

"Hey! Where is Eren?" Akuma asked as he approached the two

"In the store" answered Gido and pointed at the magic store

"And you guys are waiting for her outside?"

"Yeah. She's the mage of our group, so she's the one that deals with magic items, and we don't know anything about these things so we're waiting here. How did it go?" asked Kaval

"I registered in the guild and I'm an E-Ranked adventurer like you guys"

"That isn't what I meant. The receptionist! Aren't they all so hot!?" Kaval exclaimed

"I see what you mean..." said Akuma with a knowing grin and a nod of his head

"Yes! Finally, someone who understands me! I especially like the one with the big breasts and green curly hair!! She has this mature aura, and every time she bents forward, you can see-" Kaval said with a perverse expression on his face, only to be stopped by a hit on the head from behind, causing him to shriek in pain, and moved to the side and turned around, holding his head, revealing an angry-looking Eren, holding a wooden cane in her hand

"Stop being such a pervert! You're bothering Akuma-San!"

"I'm not bothering him! We're having a conversation only real men like us could understand!" exclaimed Kaval

"Akuma-San, did everything went smoothly?" Eren asked, ignoring Kaval

"Yes, it did. I see you bought a new cane?" Akuma said, amused by the comically dejected expression on Kaval's face

"Yes!! It's a magic cane that helps you conjure magic faster and helps you conserve magicules!"

"Say Eren, I wanted to ask you if you knew a decent inn where I could stay for a while?" Akuma asked

"Depends on how much money do you have, there are a lot of good inns in the city, occupying a lot of other adventurers!" said Eren

"I'm afraid that I don't have the coin you use in this country... Is there a place where I can convert gems to money?" Akuma asked, knowing there are multiple merchant stores from the man's knowledge

"There are merchant stores, but where would you get gems?" asked Kaval, seeing that Akuma doesn't have any baggage with him

"I already have some" Akuma said

"But where? You don't any baggage with you..."

"Let me show you..." Akuma said, and suddenly a big diamond appeared in his hand, shocking the three

"How did you do that!?" asked Eren excitedly

"It's a skill of mine. I can store stuff in a pocket dimension" Akuma lied

'Well, it's not really a lie, but it's not the truth either...' Akuma thought as he looked at the three with amusement at their shock

"That's such a useful skill! And this diamond is also very big! Where did you get it?" asked Eren

"It was a present from my father..." Akuma said while thinking:

'Less of a present, and more like I stole it from his treasury...'

"With that, you'll easily get more than ten thousand dwarven coins!!" exclaimed Kaval

"Then, let's go to a merchant's shop, and then I'll pick an inn to stay, and you'll be able to go on with your mission!" said Akuma, and the group started its way toward the merchant's shop...
