Shenyan Arhat was the chosen successor of Shenyan Buddha Lord. He represented Shenyan Buddha Lord as his most outstanding disciple. Here on Spirit Mountain, he was also the most prominent Buddha of his generation. He was situated at the top of the upper heavens of Spirit Mountain. His standing was apparent from this.

Although Ye Futian already posed a threat to his ability, Ye Futian still had to make his way past many Buddhist cultivators to get here. For now, Shenyan Arhat did not need to act.
