A New Friend

Four hours passed and the rescue team had finally carved out a small tunnel, rescuing Zhao Yu with and his companions one by one with a rope. It was already late into the night, and when everyone returned to the cave again Zhao Yu felt like they wouldn't be able to last much longer.

As they had received information about the bombs, once Zhao Yu and company were rescued, a professional bomb defusal squad went into the fortress to begin work on defusing them. Crawling out through the hole, the wind that blew still felt dense and humid even though the heavy rain from the night before had already stopped.

Out of the four people, only Li Jing and Zhao Yu had suffered heavier injuries, so the moment they reached the ground they were brought to an ambulance.

The rescue team was worried that the bomb had not been cleared properly, so they were quickly escorted to a safety zone after entering the vehicle.
