Ch 15: Tour

Serena's POV

"Wow, Mom Mommy! It's so pretty!" The structure features a pitched roof, stone chimneys, and a wide front porch with wooden beams. The porch is furnished with cozy outdoor seating and a swing, perfect for stargazing or relaxing with a book.

'Oh nice, a garden!'. The cottage is surrounded by towering trees and a small manicured garden. A gravel pathway leads to the entrance, flanked by flower beds and lantern-style lights.

'Gosh damn, we even have a garage'. A detached garage and a firepit area with seating make it ideal for outdoor family gatherings.

I looked at Val and thought of how it was so unbelievable that she built this after just a week. "Is something wrong?" Val asked after she noticed I was looking at her, "No, it's nothing." I answered and smiled at her.

"Mom, Mommy. Hurry up!" Ro said and grabbed her mom. We all went in and gosh damn. We were greeted by the living room.

A double-height ceiling with exposed wooden beams. Plush sofas and armchairs arranged around a large stone fireplace.

Tasteful rugs and decorative elements, such as art pieces and warm lighting, enhance the luxurious vibe. A built-in bookshelf with a ladder along one wall and a smart TV discreetly mounted above the fireplace.

Dang, I picked this myself. But I didn't expect it to be this pretty! Okay, stop it. I know, I know. I have a good taste, no need to compliment me. You guys are making me blush.

I headed to the kitchen and oh boy am I excited to cook in this kitchen. A fully equipped modern kitchen with high-end appliances, marble countertops, and an island with barstools.

The dining area has a solid oak dining table with enough seating for six, situated near large windows that offer scenic views. A chandelier with a rustic design adds sophistication.

"Mom, Mommy! Let's go upstairs! Hurry!" Ro was basically just dragging his mom, and I laughed at the comedic sight. "I hope you'll be as energetic as your big brother, Crissy." I looked at the bundle I was holding and kissed her forehead.

We followed after the 2, and we first checked out the master bedroom. The bedroom exudes comfort and sophistication, with a king-size canopy bed draped in luxurious linens, a walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a soaking tub, rainfall shower, and dual sinks. The room also has its own private balcony overlooking the breathtaking scenery.

"Wow!! It's so pretty! We can see the outside from here!" Ro said, while they were checking out the balcony. "Let's go to your room, Ro." I said and he immediately grabbed his mom, and rushed towards the exit. "Mom! Let's go!" Val just accepted her faith calmly.

Ro's room is designed with a playful yet functional aesthetic. It features a bunk bed with storage, a desk for study or hobbies, and a soft reading nook by the window. "Yay! My room is pretty too! Mom let's go to Crissy's room!" Yet again dragged by her son, Val sent me a 'help me' look. I just shrugged and followed them.

Crissy's nursery is charming, with pastel tones, a cozy crib, a changing station, and a rocking chair for bedtime stories. "Wow, pretty." Ro said. We headed downstairs again, and checked the other bathrooms.

In addition to the master bath, the cottage has two more bathrooms, all equipped with modern fixtures, heated floors, and stylish tiling.

"Everyone." We looked at Val questioningly. "Let's head to the basement." She smiled and carried Ro with her. 'What the heck? We even have a basement?' I looked at Val weirdly, for a week? All of this?

Y'know what? I'm not even gonna think about her skills anymore, it's obvious that she's a monster. 'Yeah, simpletons like me won't be able to understand her at all.'

Anyway, after going to the basement we were greeted with an entertainment room. A dedicated space for family activities includes a large TV, gaming consoles, board games, and a comfortable sectional sofa.

"Wow! We can play more here, Mom!" Our always hyper kid, Ro said. "Yes. I made this so that we can bond more." Val said. We headed back, because Val said she has one more surprise.

"Wow, amazing." This time it wasn't Ro, but me. It really was! The cottage extends its luxury to the outdoors, with a spacious deck featuring a hot tub, a barbecue area, and a dining table. There's also a small play area for the children, complete with swings and a sandbox.

"Did you guys enjoy the tour?" Val asked us, with a smile on her face. "Absolutely, the house is perfect." I said to her. "Yeah, Mom! Our house is so pretty. I can't wait to brag about this to Leon!" Ro followed up. Leon is the original MC and a close friend of Rodan.

==================================

After hanging out with the kids, it is now night time. Val put Ro to sleep, while I'm still cradling Crissy. This might not be a bad experience after all. "Goodnight, my baby." After noticing that Crissy is fast asleep, I kissed her forehead and put her on her crib.

I headed to our bedroom and I saw Val, who's already laying down. "As expected of our son, he's the only one who can drain you." I said while laughing at her. "I shouldn't have underestimated kids." She said dejectedly.

I laid down with her and she hugged me. "Hon? Should we enroll them in school?" Val asked, of course I wouldn't let that happen. Call me overprotective or controlling, but it's already known that Rodan and Cristina are children of ours.

2 top hunters kids, isn't it pretty tempting? Not only will many people suck up to them, there is a possibility they might get kidnapped for ransom. "No. We'll just hire private tutors." I said to Val. If we hire private tutors, not only are they close to us, we can also monitor the said tutors.

"Understood, hon. Your words are always absolute." She kissed my forehead and we went to sleep.
