The Gift

Amelia returned to the office, an hour later to find a massive bouquet sitting on her secretary's desk.

"Good day, ma'am." Rebecca stood up beaming at the dazzling conspicuous diamond ring on her boss's finger. "And congratulations on your engagement."

"Oh... Thank you." Amelia could tell Rebecca had also seen the current trending post on Instagram. "Who are those beautiful flowers meant for?"

"It came in earlier this morning for you ma'am."

"Really!" Amelia came closer to inspect the flower. She picked up the folded note in it and read it out. "From your secret admirer."

"Hmm... interesting. I wonder who this admirer could be." Amelia said, unsure if it was from her mysterious husband or someone else.

"Ma'am, I'll take that." Pascal stepped forward, to inspect the flower for any hidden dangerous device. "When I'm done scanning it, I'll bring it back into your office."
