A flurry of footsteps approached as over a dozen police officers burst in, guns drawn at Ye Hai and the others, shouting, "Stay where you are! You're under arrest!"
"Wow, these cops showed up just in time!" Ye Hai mocked.
Blade, his expression impassive, said, "These officers are from the Bloodhound clan. They work tirelessly for the vampires in hopes of one day being bitten and becoming one of them."
"Is that so?" Ye Hai casually glanced at the officers and remarked, "Longevity really can drive people to madness!"
"You listen here, you're under arrest," the police officers said anxiously, their eyes fixed on Ye Hai, particularly on Blade, who had eluded them several times in the past.
"Looks like we need to break out!" Blade grinned wickedly, baring his black teeth.
"No need, I'll take you with me. Uh, I mean, we should fly…"
Ye Hai grabbed Blade's arm and soared into the air, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
"What just happened? That guy flew away!"
The officers exchanged bewildered glances, but then they sighed in relief; they knew they had no chance against such a creature.
Ye Hai quickly flew through the dark sky, losing his sense of direction in vast New York City.
"Blade, do you know where 145 Grinlin Street is?" Ye Hai asked.
"Why do you want to know that?"
"Your target,Frost, is there!"
Blade looked around, completely lost, and replied helplessly, "I've never experienced this kind of thing up in the air before. Shouldn't you know? Birds that fly can get lost too?"
"But I'm not a bird and don't have much flying experience," Ye Hai said, equally frustrated. He took out his phone and contacted Osborn's central computer: "Xuan Nu, locate 145 Grinlin Street and provide me with a directional marker!"
"Understood."
As soon as she finished speaking, a red arrow appeared on the map.
Ye Hai smirked, "Found it! Turns out high technology is reliable."
Suddenly, he turned his body and flew in the opposite direction.
Blade was a bit speechless; after flying for this long, they somehow had gone the wrong way.
After a few minutes of flying, Ye Hai suddenly dove down, landing on the ground in front of a large building. "This is it! Give me one of your vampire-slaying weapons!"
"What do you want? A shotgun filled with silver bullets, a longsword, or silver stakes…"
Blade pulled various weapons from his person; it was surprising how he was practically adorned with them.
"A single silver stake will suffice." Ye Hai took a stake longer than his palm and asked, "How does this work? Just stab it into a vampire's heart?"
"Yes. Vampires have the ability to heal quickly, but they're allergic to silver. Just piercing their heart or head will kill them instantly," Blade said seriously. "Since this is their lair, there are bound to be many vampires inside. Be careful not to get bitten; if you do, I won't hesitate to kill you."
"Not going to happen," Ye Hai shrugged nonchalantly. "Even if I get bitten, you still can't kill me. Ha ha!"
