31. Buying Soap in Bulk

McCann looked at Jason Liu with pleading eyes, "I promise I'll work hard, just please let my sister stay with you. Bella is very obedient and won't cause you any trouble. Please, Lord East, have mercy!"

"Bella?" Jason Liu was taken aback but quickly realized this was McCann's sister's name. Remembering the tough life this 16-year-old boy had endured, raising his sister alone after their parents died, Jason couldn't help but feel some admiration for him.

He nodded and said gently, "Stand up, McCann. I accept your request. Your sister can help out in the store. She can follow Martha, Lena, Susan, and Venissa."

"Thank you, my lord! May the old gods bless you and your family," McCann said, full of gratitude.

"Stand up, all of you!" Jason looked around at the others. "Where I come from, people don't kneel. Don't do it again, or I'll dismiss you."

"Yes, my lord, we understand!"

These simple country children, who were trained to be obedient, didn't dare to question him.

McCann got up from the ground but looked towards the door, hesitating.

"What's wrong, McCann?" Jason noticed his hesitation.

"My lord, my sister is still hiding behind the haystack outside. I want to bring her in," McCann said nervously.

Jason nodded in agreement.

McCann gratefully rushed out of the store to fetch his sister.

"Martha, Lena, please take Dick, Barlow, Barron, Bud, Susan, Vanessa, and McCann's sister to the house next door to clean. The five boys will stay there tonight. As for Susan, Vanessa, and McCann's sister, they'll stay at your house," Jason instructed.

"Yes, my lord, I'll take them," Martha nodded, holding little Vivian in her arms.

"Follow me, everyone," Lena said, holding her young nephew, Michal. She led Barlow and the others to the house on the right. "This is where you'll be living from now on, courtesy of Lord East."

After watching Martha and Lena guide everyone, Jason went back to his room on the second floor. Once he was alone, he teleported back to his modern villa.

"The guards are sorted, but I still need to get equipment," he muttered to himself. He grabbed his phone and ordered five sets of stab-proof clothing, costing him 5,000 yuan.

He thought about their clothing, which was dirty and torn, and decided to buy more. He went on Taobao and found a supplier selling durable work clothes. He ordered 40 sets, costing 50 yuan each, which was quite cheap.

After updating the warehouse address for delivery, Jason checked on the paper and pens he had previously ordered, finding they had already arrived in Zheng City. He called the logistics company to have them delivered to the warehouse.

Next, Jason contacted a soap manufacturer, ordering 100,000 bars of soap and 10,000 bars of another type. The factory owner, Mr. Ma, realizing it was a big order, called Jason himself. "Hello, Mr. Liu? This is Ma Chunming, the owner of Shungui Soap Factory."

Jason was curious why he called but responded politely, "Hello, Boss Ma. Is the price the same as last time?"

"Of course! You're a valued customer, so I'll give you the best deal. The soap will be 0.5 yuan per piece," Mr. Ma replied. "You won't find a better price anywhere else."

"Alright, that works," Jason agreed, pleased with the lower price. "I might need more in the future. Just make sure the soap is high quality, without any harmful chemicals. Even if my clients are from poor areas, we need to have a clear conscience."

"Don't worry, Mr. Liu," Boss Ma assured, swearing he'd maintain quality. "I promise to deliver the best product."

"Good. I hope we can work together long-term," Jason said before paying a 5,000-yuan deposit and ending the call.

At a small soap factory near the outskirts of Wuhan, Ma Chunming called out excitedly to his workers, "Old Chen, tell everyone to come back! We've got a big order!"

Old Chen, a technician who had graduated from a modest university, perked up. He called the workers back, ready to restart production.

The soap factory, nearly bankrupt due to a lack of business during the pandemic, was now buzzing with activity, much to the relief and joy of the six people working there, including Boss Ma.

Jason, unaware he had just saved this small factory, returned to Westeros. He informed Lena and Martha that he'd be delivering goods and left them in charge of the store.

Seeing that Lord East was a bit mysterious, they didn't ask any questions and simply agreed.

After ensuring everything was settled, Jason returned to his room and teleported back to the modern world.
