There’s a lot to think about

Before boarding his flight, Haeun sat in the waiting area, quickly dialing Eunja's number. It rang twice before she picked up, her familiar voice coming through.

"Boss? Is everything alright?"

Haeun took a breath. "Eunja, I need you to make some arrangements before I get back. It's important."

"Of course boss, what do you need?"

"I want to restructure the team. All alphas in close positions to me will be moved to other departments, starting with the assistants. Move them down to the lobby, and bring up the betas from there. Keep you and the other omegas close." He paused briefly, considering his next words. "I'll also need suppressants on standby for important meetings."

There was a brief silence before Eunja responded, clearly taking everything in. "I'll handle it, boss. Everything will be ready by the time you return."

"Thanks, Eunja." Haeun hesitated. "Also, contact Doctor Choi and set up an appointment for me as soon as possible. I'll need a checkup when I land."

"I'll take care of it," Eunja reassured him. "Take care of yourself, boss. I'll get everything ready before your return."

Haeun ended the call and immediately dialed Taeun's number next. His brother picked up almost instantly.

"Hyung, how's everything going? Are you heading back soon?"

"Yeah, I'll be home soon," Haeun replied. "I need your help with something. I'm planning to change some things at the company when I return. I need you to keep an eye on things for the time being, especially with the restructuring."

Taeun's voice softened, always supportive. "I've got it. Just tell me what you need."

"I'll explain more when I get back, but for now, I want the alpha staff moved further away from me. To the second or third floor with the same department. The betas and omegas in that department will be moved to take their place there. I'll be handle the rest when I get back. So just … keep things running smoothly."

"Consider it done, Hyung," Taeun said confidently. "Don't stress yourself out, but can I ask why?."

"Ill tell you the reason, when I get back.."

"Alright, ill pick you up when you landed.."

"No!" Haeun immediately refused "No must absolutely not come to pick me up, even the driver shouldn't be an alpha, let Eunja pick me up.."

Taeun sighed before nodding as if Haeun could see him through the phone.

"Alright I got it.."

The flight was uneventful, and he spent most of it reviewing plans and mentally preparing for the transition back to his daily routine.

Upon landing back in the city, Haeun had met up with Eunja, who come to pick him up from the airport.

"Welcome back, boss," Eunja bowed with a smile as Haeun emerged from the terminal. "I've got the car ready. Let's get you to the hospital."

Haeun nodded, grateful for the support. "Thank you, Eunja. I appreciate it."

The drive to the hospital was quiet, filled with Haeun's thoughts about the upcoming appointment and the changes he had to implement at work. Eunja occasionally glanced over, making sure Haeun was comfortable.

When they arrived at the hospital, Eunja parked the car and accompanied Haeun inside. "I'll wait here for you," Eunja said as they entered the lobby. "Just let me know if you need anything."

After checking in at the reception, Haeun settled into the waiting area. The anticipation was palpable as he thought about the appointment ahead. When he was finally called into the examination room, he took a deep breath, ready to face whatever news awaited him.

In the examination room, Doctor Choi looked at Haeun with a mix of concern and professional detachment as he finished reviewing the test results.

"You're definitely pregnant, Haeun," Doctor Choi confirmed, his tone gentle yet serious. "However, since your case is different, I need to discuss the implications with you."

Haeun nodded, trying to steady his nerves. "What's the situation?"

Doctor Choi sighed. "You'll need to be in your alpha's pheromones constantly if you want a healthy baby. It's crucial for the development of the fetus. Stay clear of other alpha pheromones; these suppressants are specifically designed to block alpha pheromones for omegas like you, but taking them too frequently can damage your own pheromones. Ideally, you should be around your alpha, so his pheromones can protect you and your baby."

Haeun's heart sank slightly. "So, it's not just about the suppressants?"

"No," Doctor Choi replied. "It's essential to be around your alpha for both your and the baby's well-being. Nevertheless, congratulations, Haeun. We've been doing these sessions for years, and now you've managed to find a suitable alpha and even got pregnant. He must be one heck of a guy."

Haeun managed a small, appreciative smile despite his anxiety. "Thank you, Doctor Choi. I'll follow your advice."

Doctor Choi nodded. "We'll monitor your progress closely. Make sure to take care of yourself and avoid unnecessary stress. Your checkups will be thrice a week, don't miss any and if you feel anything is wrong or out of place, please head to the hospital as soon as possible."

"Got it, Uncle Choi I'll keep that in mind and please don't tell my mum yet, he'll be all over me once he finds out.."

"Alright, since you want to keep it a secret you can't miss any session.."

Haeun nodded before leaving the examination room, he sighed as he ran his hand through his hair.

"It can't be helped then, for the sake of this child I'll have to run back to Yeongsoo.."

As Haeun met Eunja in the hospital lobby, she greeted him with a concerned look. "Boss, how did it go with Dr. Choi?"

"It went well enough," Haeun replied, trying to keep his tone casual. "Let's just say I have a lot to think about haha."

Eunja nodded, noting the gravity in his voice. "There's been a change in the plan. Boss Taeun decided to extend his vacation. He mentioned that he's sure you have some things you need to work out and that he enjoys running the company. So, for now, you can focus on what you need to do."

Haeun's expression softened, relieved by the news. "If that's the case, then I'll be able to stay indoors without worrying about other alpha pheromones. That makes things a bit easier."

"Exactly," Eunja agreed. "Is there anything else you need before we head to your place?"

"Yes, take me to my apartment in XG Estate," Haeun said. "I'd like to enjoy the view there for a while."
