(37/100... No Bonus Chapter, Was it that hard to get this number... how about 50 Powerstones for this week for a bonus chapter?)
**Time-Unknown, Location- ???**
"So, that group of Yuki clan members who had escaped were annihilated by those two," somebody said while reading a document.
"I was planning to steal some kids and incorporate them into Root, but that elite jounin was a problem. However, it seems those two took a kid," Danzo mused to himself.
"Do you have what I ordered you to bring?" he asked one of the kneeling masked ninjas.
The person, whose gender was unknown, silently handed Danzo a scroll.
"Well done. You will be promoted. Send No.13 to me. You are dismissed."
*(A/N: Did anybody understand that reference?)*
The Root ninja silently nodded and left.
In less than a minute, another masked ninja, identical to the previous one, came and knelt on the ground.
Danzo threw the scroll in his hand to him.
"This is the schedule we've gathered from observing Yukio and Miyuki. The latter has a similar routine every week, but the former's is deliberately crafted to appear like a fixed schedule, when it's not," Danzo clenched his wooden stick for some reason.
He hated Yukio with a passion.
One of the reasons his Root had limited power, even after the opportunity to expand following the Nine-Tails incident, was Yukio providing information about his subtle moves to Hiruzen.
"That damn dog," Danzo took a deep breath and regained his composure.
Very few people could provoke him like this.
Yukio had the honour of being on that list.
"I will create various missions throughout the month that Yukio will be forced to take. Your objective is to capture that kekkei genkai girl who is under Yukio's tutelage, alive. Under no circumstances will you reveal that you are a Root ninja."
Danzo placed his finger on the Root ninja's forehead. The latter blinked.
"I've removed your cursed eradication seal. You also know how to replicate emotions, right?" The masked ninja nodded.
"This scroll contains information on Miyuki's sensing abilities. It's two years outdated, but we've made our best assumptions. It should be useful."
"The future of Konoha is in your hands. You must not fail."
"Yes, Danzo-sama," the Root ninja finally spoke and bowed his head.
With that, he left.
"Soon, I will get what rightfully belongs to me," Danzo said as he sat in his chair.

"Say, can I kill you?"
"No."
"Pretty please? I'll try to kill you in your sleep."
"Don't. Unlike Yukio, I don't have much control over my killing instincts. You might actually die if you try that."
"Boo, what a party pooper," Yumi whined.
"Jeez, I can't really blame you for hating me," Miyuki sighed.
"Yeah, I'm gonna hate you until you die."
"Well, what do you want for dinner?" Miyuki changed the topic.
"Hamburger."
"I don't really know how to make that."
"Sushi?"
"Nope."
"Ramen?"
"Well, I do know how to make that, but it's not that good."
"Tempura?"
"I'm bad at making that."
"Soba?"
"That's similar to ramen, so no."
"Yakitori?"
"I'm not a festival stall. Are you intentionally asking me to make things I don't know how to cook?" Miyuki narrowed her eyes at Yumi.
"Yukio-chan makes this stuff daily. How does your cooking compare to his?"
"Ahem, I'm as good as him at the dishes I know. Also, why are you calling him Yukio-chan and not me? Aren't we both responsible for your family's death?" Miyuki quickly changed the topic before she embarrassed herself.
She was also confused why Yukio was getting the "good cop" treatment, while she got the "bad cop" one.
Shouldn't Yumi hate him more since she was forced to live with him or something?
"Hehe, he's far better than you. His contribution wasn't as much as yours," Yumi smiled. "But don't worry, I'm gonna kill both of you. I wonder what would be more painful? Killing you while Yukio watches, or killing Yukio while you watch? I haven't decided yet, but you're the one who's going to suffer the most." Her smile was disturbingly sinister for a six-year-old.
Miyuki bonked her. "Yup, you really are a messed-up child."
"I wonder who made me like that," Yumi muttered, rubbing the spot where she was hit.
"Anyway, back to the topic of dinner," Miyuki shifted subjects again.
She really was uncomfortable when interacting with Yumi.
How was she supposed to engage with the child whose family she had killed?
'I wonder how Yukio deals with her? Then again, knowing him, he's the type who'd wake up the Great Toad just to verify some information, despite not being a summoner,' she sighed internally.
"Oh, what dishes do you know how to make?" Yumi asked.
"I can make a good curry," Miyuki replied.
"Do you eat that every day?" Yumi deadpanned.
"Yeah, curry is very versatile. It feels like you're eating something different every day by just changing a few ingredients."
"Hmm, Yukio-chan said he knew someone who only ate ramen daily, with different flavours," Yumi suspiciously eyed Miyuki, who whistled nonchalantly.
"That definitely wasn't me. That person was an Uzumaki."
"Is that so?" Yumi didn't seem convinced.
"Anyway, you know where my house is, right? Just wait for me there. I'll come back with the ingredients. And don't set any traps; you're the one who'll have to clean them up," Miyuki said, flickering away.
"Fine," Yumi whined.
From the top of a tree, a man was observing Yumi.
He vanished.

"Kakashi has been training intensely for some reason and even took a break. I can't understand this move. Has he finally decided to stop wasting his potential?" Danzo mused.
"Also, the Raikage seems to have made a move on Iwa. I really need to take advantage of this, perhaps by fanning the flames of war and increasing the tension between them further," Danzo tapped his desk three times.
A Root ninja appeared.
"You know what to do, as you've been listening," Danzo said, handing him a scroll. The ninja disappeared.
'The Uchiha are also growing more tense by the day. That rumor strategy did help, huh,' Danzo smirked.
A knock was heard on the door.
Danzo tapped his desk twice.
A Root ninja appeared in the room.
"Is this the information from the spies in the Mist?"
Danzo recalled that the top spy he had placed in the Mist was actually a Root ninja who had become the concubine of the Water Daimyo.
The Water Daimyo's son had 'accidentally' encountered a group of bandits and was almost killed, but he was saved by a civilian girl who knew that forest area well.
The Daimyo's son had taken her as a concubine. After some political manoeuvres—and some deaths of people due to various reasons, ranging from heart attacks to the common cold—he ascended as the next Daimyo.
That civilian girl, though only a concubine, had the most contact with the Water Daimyo due to their 'shared experience of overcoming a dangerous scenario.'
Danzo had spent considerable resources training a spy with civilian-level chakra reserves, one who specialized in deceit, stealth, and seduction.
One reason the current Water Daimyo is under that concubine's control is due to her skills in bed.
The Water Daimyo is completely addicted to her, like a drug addict.
Generally, Water Daimyos are secretly closely monitored by some Anbu from each village. However, due to the recent conflict in the Mist last year, and Danzo's long game plan, many things had become smooth.
'I wonder if we could capture some kekkei genkai children from the Mist,' Danzo mused.
If that were possible, then he wouldn't have to try to abduct Yumi, who was under Yukio.
Danzo opened the scroll, and his eyes widened.
A head could be seen emerging from the scroll.
Danzo leapt back, in case it was rigged with an explosive tag or something.
It seems he was still an elite jounin, despite being years past his prime.
"No.13?" Danzo muttered, recognizing the face.
He took a deep breath and tapped the desk three times.
"When was the last time No.13 contacted us? And give me all the message scrolls you've received."
"He contacted us twice in the last month, with the latest message being sent three days ago. Both were sent when Yukio was on a mission," the Root ninja handed him a scroll.
Danzo quickly read through both messages and began pacing around the room.
"No.13 was compromised long ago, probably after he sent the first scroll. I can't pinpoint the exact date, but I'm certain the latest scroll wasn't written by him." Danzo personally knew No.13, as he was one of his closest subordinates, trusted enough to have the seal on his tongue removed by Danzo himself.
So, they had established a code with information known only to the two of them.
"Or is that what Yukio wants me to think?" Danzo stopped pacing.
There's a reason he's one of the most paranoid men in all of Konoha.
