That day, Ivan showed up at the enchantment workshop early, waiting for Sorceress Madeline to arrive.

"Good morning, Ivan."

"Morning."

Hearing the familiar voice, Ivan turned to look and saw that Carmel wasn't alone. His sister, Heidi, was there too, along with a poised, older woman who bore a striking resemblance to Heidi. She seemed to be a close relative, and more importantly, a sorcerer.

"Mom, he's the friend I've mentioned, Ivan," Carmel introduced.

"I know. Sorcerer Randall went through much trouble to get you permission to observe the Raw Stone Array Disc. Well then, come along," Madeline said brusquely to Ivan, striding quickly into the enchantment workshop.
