KHAOS'S COLDNESS

Dacre would be very dense if he couldn't see right through Rose's intention for coming here personally to deliver the news. The scout should have come right away to meet him instead of relaying the information to Rose.

It became more obvious when Rose blatantly asked to enter his tent. She looked surprised when Dacre denied it, but she was graceful enough to not make a big deal out of it.

"The scouts have found five ships of food supplies in the River Creek's pier. Those are big ships, but from the look of it, they wouldn't have enough room to supply people with food until the end of the winter." Rose touched her chin, thinking. "At best, they will be running out of food within a few weeks from now."

Dacre nodded, as he listened to her analysis. "Do you have any idea what to do?"

Rose narrowed her eyes. "I am thinking of a plan, but I am not sure if the king will agree to it or not."

"Let's hear about it."
