DIVINE CANDIDATE: FRED.

General waited for Doom Slayer to awaken from his death as he continued enjoying his wine.

"You… What was that?" Doom Slayer said as he got up and pointed his shotgun at General.

"I am sure a part of your divinity lets you know what happened as your cause of death and when it happened." General said unbothered by Doom Slayer's gesture.

"It can't be! I can't simply die just because of a mere… a mere glass of wine! Speak now or I won't be so understanding in the next second." Doom Slayer said as flames covered parts of his body.

"You know, even Ashuras know when to stop being arrogant. That wine you just ignorantly described is for high-level divines. And those high-level divines only drink a little and wait before drinking a little which causes the feeling of a lack of control of those high-level divine beings. If they were owners or creators of multiverses, they would assign that duty to a trusted celestial and get carried away or else, they could destroy everything they have worked for and even themselves." General explained after finishing his first glass and started on his second glass like it was water.

"What I am trying to make you understand is, alcohol isn't for kids. Even if you were to attempt to build immunity through excessive consumption, you would only compromise your divinity, regressing into a state of mere immortality, eventually becoming a powerless mortal." General continued and went onto his third glass then went for the wine cask.

"Up until now I have put up with your unruly behaviour and will not have that again." General said as Doom Slayer began to see himself fade.

The space marine couldn't even put up any form of resistance and slowly turned into a reddish-golden orb.

"I knew what was going to happen but I still wanted to give him a chance." General said as he finished the wine from the wine cask.

"Heavenly One, you already foresaw this but decided to give him a chance since humans are known to be defying their destiny and creating new ones if they want to or under divine intervention. You were merciful this time, Heavenly One." The maid who served General commented as she curtseyed.

"You, you were the highest level defying god when I saved you from being used to strengthen other defying gods and saint-level defying gods. You would have been turned into a world that the others would have used to cultivate and become stronger." General said as another wine cask appeared before him.

"Indeed, your benevolence saved me from being absorbed by lesser gods; that is why I owe you my eternity, Heavenly One." The maid answered.

"But always knowing everything is a… wait, why don't we just select a random human?" General asked.

"You do seem to favour humans a lot, Heavenly One?" The maid answered.

"No. I was going to bring a very famous Ashura here… one who saved his planet multiple times." General said.

"There are countless Ashuras. Except if you are talking about… you don't mean… that little one that stopped a god from using his finger to destroy him and the planet in a fit of rage but died from the Ashura's reaction?" The maid asked.

General simply nodded.

"Then why don't we use him instead? I am sure he would entertain you and the Venerable readers that exist beyond the void well." The maid urged, trying her best to convince General.

"You do have a point. Maybe I will but not now." General replied as he appeared in deep space from his garden.

"For now, I will pick from Earth sixty-nine. I am sure the Venerable readers from the void will appreciate the pun at the number." General said as the dark starry space around him began to morph into an extension of his garden.

"Heavenly One, I have to say, those Venerable readers do have some weird… let's not get into it." The maid said as she stood beside General.

"The time has come!"

"That's my favourite basketball person!" Alex, a six foot-five Caucasian man in his early twenties in a basketball jersey said as he tapped his friend's back.

"Oh really? From get back to the farm jokes to Basketball person? You never run out of these do you?" A six-foot-three, light-skinned man in his early twenties wearing the same jersey as Alex with a basketball in his hand laughed as he pushed his friend aside.

The duo had just dominated a visiting neighbourhood in a game of basketball a little too much. The light-skinned man apparently was just using the sport to vent his frustrations and depressions by making several steals, three pointers, close to fifty assists and ended the game with a slam dunk! His friend Alex just kept utilizing every pass from him turning it into an assist every time.

The game eventually ended one-sidedly as the victors became bored mid-game since their opponents lost the will to go on. Alex and Fred soon hit the showers in a public bathroom nearby and prepared to leave for their respective destinations. The light-skinned man waved his friend goodbye and walked to his Lexus IS 350 F Sport.

Prior to this event, our favourite basketball person saw a shocking revelation of his best friend that would be one of the key factors to the start of Fred's story. Firstly, our basketball person is named Fred Jocko and his best friend is Alex Collins. Fred was born and raised in Alaska but soon moved to Washington D.C. in his high school year. Alex on the other hand was a capital boy, born and raised in the country that boasted to be the founder of freedom same as Fred

Fred majored in Ethical Engineering and had a steady and well-paying job at AllSafe Cyber Security firm as a lead engineer and a seasoned young talent in the company at the age of twenty-five. He and Alex go way back since High school. Alex finished well in Harvard with a Law degree and soon went to law school and has been a hot cake ever since he came out with honours.

Alex is a six-foot-five Caucasian male with blonde hair, a muscular and trim V taper body and perfect teeth. Fred carried a lush afro on his head with shaved sides, more muscle mass on him but lean as well.

The both of them never lacked in getting girls as both of them have faithful and adoring girlfriends at the moment… that was the case until Fred decided to go against his principle of hacking into people's lives.

Something he swore he would never do when he hacked the person he looked up to and was ashamed and disappointed at what he saw.

But one night when he was alone in his thoughts, he had a gut feeling, more than a gut feeling, it was like as if every fibre of his being wanted him to hack someone he would never dream of hacking. What could it be? What could he find out? What was it that bothered him so? And if he found out that what he felt was true, what would he do?
