They surrounded him like an array, and painted a grotesque scene for the onlookers.

"Just three bodies left." He had stopped regarding them as living things long ago, they were bodies that would soon fall dead.

Jason awaited for the monsters to charge at him, and fall like the rest.

Instead they began talking to themselves, even though he couldn't understand the language he knew that their tones were grave. Something was being discussed, something that had a grave meaning.

The two monsters looked at each other, their faces were expressing things that couldn't just be said with words alone.

The old hobgoblin had been guarded by those two and that was the reason it had survived this long.

The monsters suddenly fell lifelessly onto the ground.

"What the hell?"
