I held my head high as I walked through the corridor of the Ambassador's deck toward the pool. I think there was a misconception about what strength was. To most people, becoming stronger means picking up a gun and killing anyone who stands in your way.
My strength was different. My strength was in my faith and my unwillingness to back down. I would never start a fight, but that didn't mean I would cower in a corner, either. I had done that before, and it didn't change anything at all.
Mind you, I wasn't stupid. I was in full armor with an added pair of thick leggings under my skirt so that nothing was exposed. This was how I felt most in control and strong.
Carrying a bag of live crabs over my shoulder, I walked with purpose, my males around me.
"Axis and I will go into the water with you," grunted Pure, handing his brother something that looked like a tube with a mouth piece in the center of it.
