Chapter 6: Mission Impossible.

Chapter 6: Mission Impossible.

Huo Yuhao sat on the bed as he thought of how to escape from the mansion.

'Well, first of all, we need to create a distraction so that the tiger guards focus their attention on protecting the duchess and her son,' Yuhao thought as he got out of bed quietly to avoid waking his mother.

'The memory of the original Huo Yuhao was mainly centered around the area near the cottage and how to cook grilled fish. He never actually got out of here. Hmm, that would be a problem. I need to survey the whole mansion,' he thought as he made his way out of the cottage.

He created threads around the cottage and cast an illusion around them to make them much harder to notice. The threads will attack intruders or anything that has malicious intentions towards him or his mother.

'Okay, now that is out of the way. Let's get going,' he said as he cast an illusion on himself to appear invisible using his [Illusion Manipulation] skill.

Illusions are tricky and can be broken if someone has very high spatial awareness or high enough spiritual power. But he was not casting regular illusions. The illusion that Yuhao created uses the surrounding soul power to trick the surrounding people and mess with their perception. With the help of [Great Sage], the probability of someone breaking free from the illusion has been drastically lowered.

After all, the skill is called [Illusion Manipulation], meaning that Yuhao is free to use illusions however he wants. And when he is strong enough, the illusions can mess with the fabric of reality and can overwrite it sometimes, but that is still in the far future.

Huo Yuhao made his way towards the main mansion, swinging from one tree to another using his threads.

'This is kind of fun, no wonder our friendly neighborhood Spiderman swings around all the time. It is like being a kid in a playground all over again,' Yuhao mused to himself as he neared the mansion building.

He stopped near the mansion and started checking the perimeter. He went around the mansion to see where the entrances and exits were.

'Man, why do rich people build houses that are too big? They don't occupy half of it. It is so annoying,' Yuhao commented while making a mental image of all the exits, entrances, and secret pathways that lead to and from the mansion. He even found the mansion treasury while he was exploring.

'Hmm, you guys are rich, right? You wouldn't mind if I take some of your wealth, right? Call it late child support fees, if you may,' Yuhao chuckled to himself as he used the storage-type soul tools in the treasury to store everything of value in them: gold coins, soul bones, rare herbs, secret documents of military deployment, etc.

A couple of minutes passed by and the whole treasury was wiped clean by Yuhao. After emptying the treasury, he cast an illusion to make it look like everything was normal.

'It is a shame that I won't be able to see the reaction of the duchess after she finds out she was robbed clean, lol.' Yuhao kept laughing, imagining her reaction.

'For a distraction, I will set the seas ablaze—*cough* I mean I will set the mansion and the maid quarters on fire. The white tiger guards will focus on protecting the duchess and her son, and the servants will focus on putting out the fire in the mansion and the maid quarters. This will give me enough time to take Mom and escape,' Yuhao commented as he made his way out of the treasury.

Now all that remains is a trigger for my mom to support the idea of escaping.

The empty treasury will serve as a reason for the attack on the mansion, so the guards will think that someone created a distraction to enter the treasury and escape with all the wealth while they were protecting the duchess and her son.

'I have set up a lot of threads inside the mansion and the maid's quarters. I will manipulate the threads to be ignited and set the whole building on fire. I wish I knew how to create explosives or gunpowder, but this will do the job for now,' Yuhao thought as he cast an illusion on the threads embedded in the structure of the mansion and the maid quarters.

'Okay, so now I have funds for traveling and awakening my martial spirit. I have a distraction and the escape route ready. All I need now is for Mother to accept the idea of escaping to initiate the plan,' Yuhao reasoned as he made his way to the cottage.

He removed the protection threads and sneaked into the cottage. Luckily, his mother was still asleep. He climbed into the bed and lay next to her.

'I almost forgot, Mom is in poor health because of all the overwork and malnutrition over the years. Hmm, what to do? What to do? Do I ask Ellie for another wish? But she is still recharging, although there is still some energy left for a couple of wishes, it is better to save them for an emergency situation.'

He pondered for a while until he found a solution. His [Nanomancer] class allows him to create and control nanobots from his energy reserves. And since the class is still in the initial phase, he only has [Nanotech Engineering Tier 1], which allows him to create simple weapons like swords, spears, daggers, etc.

In higher tiers, his class would be able to create mobile flying fortresses filled with cannons, railguns, drones, barriers, etc. It was a class created for war in the first place.

'Hmm, can I implant some nanobots in her body and let them heal her from the inside?'

'I remember Arthur Leywin from [The Beginning After the End] learned a technique/art from Sylvia called [Mana Rotation] that allowed him to constantly absorb mana from the atmosphere. Can I program the nanobots in her body to constantly absorb and reroute all life-attribute soul power in the atmosphere to heal her and improve her health?'

'I can also make them enter my body, to constantly absorb soul power in the atmosphere, so that my soul power level is constantly on the rise. It is like having an automatic cultivation machine in my body, which is broken. I am liking this class more and more.'

'Nanobots are foreign objects in the human body, so the body will naturally reject them. Extended exposure can lead to corrosion or poisoning, similar to Wolverine's case when his healing factor couldn't keep up with the Adamantium poisoning.'

'But not my nanobots though. Ellie, being the sweet girl that she is, granted me a class that doesn't have this flaw, so I can use it as support. I can also use it as an attack by making the nanobots corrode and poison my enemies from the inside. Truly an all-rounder class.'

'Let's test it first. And in case it fails, I can just use Ellie to cure. Although, that would leave us with fewer options in case of an emergency.'

Huo Yuhao used [Great Sage] during the tests and noted down improvements that could be made along the way. [Great Sage] was working at full capacity, trying to help its owner succeed.

After a long time, the testing seemed fruitful as he could now create and program the nanobots with ease.

'It turns out that the key lies in control. As long as I improve my control over the class, the nanobots can be programmed as much as I want,' Yuhao mused to himself.

'I remember Shiro (the original holder of this class) could recycle special equipment and absorb the skills of the equipment into the data bank of the class so she could use these skills in her creations.'

For example, Shiro recycled a sword that had an attack skill called [Fire Blast]. The nanobots would digest the sword and the skill [Fire Blast] would be stored in the class data bank, so if Shiro wanted, she could make any weapon she desired and implant the skill [Fire Blast] into it.

Yuhao wondered if the nanobots could absorb the effects of medicine or rare herbs and store them as skills in the class data bank. If they can, then it is truly a divine assist.

'Okay, enough pondering. My head hurts from the continuous use of [Great Sage],' Yuhao thought to himself as he started the process. He wanted to test it first on himself before using it on his mom.

Huo Yuhao started creating nanobots from his energy, and they slowly entered his bloodstream. He felt weird for a bit. It was like taking an injection and feeling the liquid from the syringe pass through his blood. It was uncomfortable, to say the least.

The process continued for a while, and then with the help of [Great Sage], all the nanobots in his body started absorbing soul energy from the atmosphere and cycling it around in his body.

He almost groaned at the comfortable feeling he was experiencing.

'Well, it looks like it worked. Let's continue,' Yuhao thought as he finished inspecting himself and making sure there were no issues within his body.

'Although I noticed something unusual: my blood seems to highly respond to energy, and my control over soul power is getting better and better. I will look into it after we escape from here.' Yuhao made a mental note of his discovery.

He created an illusion of an Everdistant Utopia filled with pink flowers and a peaceful atmosphere around himself and his mother. The illusion was to numb his mother's senses so she wouldn't wake up to find her son injecting her with some nanobots.

He used a micro-thread to create a small wound on her hand, all while paying attention to her facial expression. Seeing no visible reactions, he proceeded to inject her with the nanobots.

She frowned a little at the beginning, but after he held her hand gently, her expression relaxed again. The process did not take long, and soon the nanobots were absorbing soul power from the atmosphere, converting it to life-attribute soul power, and directing it throughout her entire body.

Judging from her peaceful facial expression, the operation was successful.

He was about to cancel the illusion, but he stopped. He took a look at his mother's peaceful sleeping face and pondered for a while.

'You deserve a peaceful night's sleep, Mother, in this illusion utopia,' Huo Yuhao spoke to her in his mind.

He instructed [Great Sage] to cancel the illusion the moment Huo Yun'er was about to wake up. Then he simply lay down beside her to get his well-deserved rest.

'It was a fulfilling night, I have to say. The plan should start tomorrow night. Hopefully, everything goes well,' Yuhao wondered as he finally fell asleep.

Around 1.9k words in this chapter without the author's note.

Hey guys, how's it going? I felt kinda lazy today, but I wanted to at least write one chapter every day for this story.

And I am curious at what time you read this chapter. The metrics in Webnovel are hard for me to understand.

Anyhow, for the second martial spirit, a lot of you wanted a divine key to be his second martial soul. The most popular ones were [Judgment of Shamash] and [Oath of Judah]. But here is the thing: Kiana in the Herrscher of Finality stigma has all the divine keys stored in the stigma space. In the future, he will use them when he and Kiana gain mutual trust.

The point is, he will have the real divine keys in the future, so there is no point in me making one of the divine keys his secondary martial soul.

As for his secondary martial soul, I decided to use a slime or a demon slime martial soul for the following reasons:

He is going to visit other anime worlds, so he needs a suitable vessel where all types of energies can co-exist. Rimuru had magicules, star dust, imaginary energy, and other types of energy coexisting in his body without any problem.

Another reason is that he is going to visit worlds with dungeons, so he will need the unique skill [Predator] to absorb the monsters and gain their skills and abilities. [Predator] makes sense to be with slimes. It is kind of cost-effective; instead of asking Ellie for a [Water Blade] skill and wasting the energy gathered, why not absorb a monster with that skill and gain the skill yourself? We will use Ellie for other important stuff like world travel and getting things that we can't get ourselves and struggle a little. Otherwise, the story would be boring if Ellie could give us all we need, right?

The chapter had info about his class, as many of you might not have heard about it. The class comes from a popular novel called [Nanomancer Reborn - I've Become A Snow Girl?]. I read it a long while ago, so I am a bit rusty when recalling details about the class.

I chose this class because Huo Yuhao is much more fitting to be a [God of Machinery/Machines] than [God of Emotions] or maybe both.

Anyways, do not forget to comment memes, your thoughts, and most importantly, waifu pics.

I left a reference from a familiar game in this chapter, so I want to see some paragraph comments on that paragraph, if you may.

Can I ask for some reviews? We will hit 15,000 characters pretty soon and enter the ranking. So, for the story to be relevant and gather an audience, I need reviews and power stones.

That is all for now.

Bye.

Please review the story and share your memes in the comment section. Thanks.
