Ella
It's a long shot. I know that as I take a deep breath, walking down the hall. I only have one shot at this, but it's better than doing nothing.
Besides, Dr. Leo and I haven't met just yet. He doesn't quite know what I'm capable of.
So, I take one more breath, close my eyes tight, and start walking toward the pediatric doctor's office with a fake drunk walk to guide me.
Pretending to be drunk was Jacob's idea. Everything else was mine. I told the two not to breathe a word of any of this and that I would take care of everything.
I let my feet falter below me as though I've had far too much to drink. In truth, it's been a talent of mine to learn from example.
I knock on Dr. Leo's door, leaning against the frame as seductively as I can. "Well, there he is," I purr with a fake slur in my throat.
"I'm sorry?" Dr. Leo questions, standing up quickly. "Who are you?"
