Chapter 38

"Class, listen to me. I have something important to say, so I'd like you all to listen," our adviser said as Alzid and I arrived. Luckily, we weren't late, so we entered the school together.

"I just want to let you know that Mrs. Felin has been removed from this school, so from now on, you won't be seeing her anymore. A new teacher has also been hired to substitute for her."

After our adviser's announcement, the room was filled with murmurs. Everyone was wondering why she was removed from the school. Even I had no idea; it felt like just yesterday she was giving me a punishment.

"Keep quiet, class. Anyway, let's start our new lesson today," he said, and everyone stopped talking.

After class, Alzid and I walked home together again. As we walked down the hallway, I couldn't look at him, nor could I find anything to say.
