219. Remember not to let any strange man near her

The next day was Tuesday, and when Paige woke up, she saw a message from Anji.

'The military quarter was cleared, and the doctors and physicists, as well as soldiers, were distributed to existing military bases around the city. There were spots on the ceiling that were not covered with the black stuff and were only painted over. Be careful and stay safe.'

Paige immediately screenshotted the message and sent it to Lance, then she texted Anji if he was okay.

She had not yet received an answer when Lance's video call came in.

Picking up, Lance was apparently concentrating on the wrong matter,

"Why do you have his number? Since when are you writing each other?"

Lance was on the construction site and instantly recognized the name on top of the chat record from the military report he read.

He looked very unhappy.

Paige looked at his face to make sure it was Lance who had called and not some jealous wife she had dumped.
