~Starfire's Pov~

'Can humanoids even move like that?' I watched as he threw his punches and kicks that seemed to defy orthodox movements entirely. His fluidity and precision were almost mesmerizing to watch, I admit that... It felt like each motion of his was a blend of power and grace that I had rarely seen before in other fighters.

No, It looked as if he had total control over each fiber of his being, and each person that came out of a door would be met with another flying right into them, knocking them out accordingly. How does he even do that? Does he have some sort of special vision to tell him or something?

I saw him utilize a piece of tentacle, a part of something people call squids, to wrap around someone's neck and knock them out after; A tentacle... How does that even work?

Though~ it was oddly entertaining to see him move like that...

I guess I can see what he does, and how he does it for now. I could potentially report back to the league in case things go south, but I doubt I'll need to report anything bad; so far, he's been doing just fine without my intervention.

As I continued watching him, Enigma moved with an almost unnerving confidence. His strikes were calculated, each one serving a purpose, every move deliberate. It was clear he was no ordinary fighter, at least to me.

'Maybe there's more to him than meets the eye,' I thought, still wary but increasingly intrigued. Despite my reservations, his effectiveness couldn't be denied in the least. It was like I was watching a machine at work.

Then, suddenly, he paused and looked up at me. "You were planning just to watch the show, or will you help?" His voice was calm, but there was a hint of amusement in it.

I descended slowly, eyes narrowing slightly. "I'll help. But I'm keeping my eyes on you."

He nodded, seemingly unbothered by my suspicion, "Fair enough. Let's clean this place up, then."

We moved together, systematically taking down the remaining guards. His movements were precise, and almost methodical, while I relied more on my strength and speed. Despite our different styles, we made an oddly effective team, despite fighting for the first time...

As we reached the heart of the facility, he stopped in front of a heavy, reinforced door. "This is it," he said quietly. "The main control room."

I glanced towards another side, "And what's behind this door?" I asked, readying myself for whatever was potentially ahead.

He shrugged, "Everything we've probably been looking for," he replied, his eyes glowing brighter. "Are you ready?"

I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Let's do this."

With a swift, powerful kick, Enigma broke the door down, and we charged inside. The room was filled with monitors and equipment, but not just that. Large tubes lined the walls, some containing creatures that resembled monster-human hybrids.

'Just what on Earth are they doing here?' I thought, my eyes scanning the horrifying scene. The men working there looked up in shock as we entered.

"S-Stop them!" someone yelled, but it was too late. We were already in motion.

The fight was intense but short-lived. With Enigma's precision and my raw power, we quickly subdued everyone. When I moved up, he went down; when I tensed, he relaxed. It was new to me, this kind of synergy...

As the dust settled, Enigma moved to the central console and began typing furiously. "What are you doing?" I asked, watching him closely.

"Shutting this place down for good, but first..." he replied, turning towards the shadows. "We take them down."

From the darkness, a figure stepped forward, clapping slowly. "Impressive. I didn't think anyone would find this place."

Enigma's eyes narrowed. "Your operation ends here."

The man sneered. "Do you really think you can stop me?"

"We'll do more than that," I interjected, my hands glowing with power.

Enigma stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "This is your last chance. Surrender, or face the consequences."

The man laughed, drawing a weapon. "I'd like to see you try... But first, you go through him." Just what was he talking about?...

Suddenly, another figure emerged from the shadows, towering and menacing, standing well over 9 feet in height. Its muscles rippled under its blue skin, and its slit-like eyes glowed with a malevolent light...

"Meet the Enforcer." the man said with a smirk. "He's been enhanced, far beyond anything you've faced before. Designed to rival the man of steel himself!"

Both Ezra and Starfire widened their eyes at this. Rivaling Superman himself was no easy feat, but that claim might not be untrue...

Instantly, the enforcer charged at them with blinding speeds, his left fist aimed directly at Enigma, as if it perceived him as the bigger threat. Enigma dodged to the right with lightning-fast reflexes, avoiding the massive blow that easily cracked the floor where he had just stood.

Starfire tried to intercept the enforcer's next attack, but Ezra swiftly placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. "You're too weak to fight him..." he said firmly. "You'll only be a burden. Stay back and let me handle this." Ezra was picking up insane amounts of strength from that creature, the only other persons that came close to this level were wonder-woman, and Supergirl, and they were still weaker...

'Just how the hell did they manage to create this thing?' He knew something like this wasn't impossible; Hell, superboy was created in a lab. But this thing was on another level entirely... Ezra glanced towards Starfire, realizing she was hesitant to heed his warning.

Starfire's eyes widened, but she nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. She moved to a safer distance, watching intently as Enigma prepared to face the enforcer alone.

The monster roared and lunged at Enigma with a powerful right hook. Enigma sidestepped, however the force of the punch caused a massive shockwave, and he delivered a swift punch to the enforcer's ribs. The enforcer barely flinched, countering with a backhand swing that Enigma narrowly avoided by ducking...

'Damn it! This thing... It's powerful.' Ezra thought. If Starfire had stayed here, she might have been put in danger.

Ezra's movements were a blur of speed and precision to Starfire now, she couldn't perceive him anymore.

He landed a series of rapid strikes on the enforcer's torso and legs, targeting pressure points to weaken his opponent. The enforcer, despite his immense strength, struggled to keep up with Enigma's agility.

Bam!

Bam!!

Boom!!

The enforcer swung his left fist in a wide arc, aiming for Ezra's head. Ezra ducked and rolled to the right, coming up behind the enforcer and delivering a powerful kick to the back of his knee. The enforcer stumbled but quickly regained his footing, turning to face Ezra with a snarl.

They continued exchanging blows. While Ezra's strikes were precise and calculated, each one aimed at exploiting the enforcer's weaknesses. The creature, on the other hand, relied on just brute strength and speed, his attacks wild and powerful but lacking finesse.

*Boom!!*

*Boom!!!*

The room shook with the force of their punches. The enforcer's fists crashed into the ground, creating cracks and sending debris flying. Ezra dodged and weaved through the chaos, landing blow after blow on the enforcer's vital areas.

The enforcer's rage grew, and he charged at Enigma with renewed ferocity. Enigma met him head-on, their collision creating a shockwave that rattled the entire facility. Despite the enforcer's superior strength, the blows before had begun to take their toll on the creature.

However... Its eyes glowed a bright purple hue...

Seeing this, Ezra knowing what it was prepped himself. Realizing that even if he was fast enough to react, his sheer movement and flight speed were still his shortcomings at the moment...

'Shit!' He prepped himself, covering his mask instantly. Soon the creature's beams shot out from his eyes, melting the metal beneath their feet as if it were butter, and going below it.

"E-Enigma!" Starfire shouted. Seeing him being bathed in the purple hue. However, the beam stopped... And smoke filled the air...

"Hahaha!!!! Not even Superman himself would survive such a thing!" The man laughed.

"You talk too fucking much..."

"W-What?!!"

The man turned towards the smoke, only to see the Enigma fine. However, most of his clothing suffered from the blast, and a chip off his mask. Otherwise, he was relatively unscathed from the whole ordeal.

"Y-you're, alive?" Starfire on the other hand, began questioning reality itself.

"I've picked up some massive readings from where Starfire is," a voice crackled over the communication line. The tone was urgent, with clear concern for her safety.

In the Watchtower, Batman's eyes narrowed as he analyzed the data streaming across the monitor in front of him. The readings were off the charts, indicating a significant energy surge in Starfire's location. It wasn't just a typical disturbance—something big was happening there.

"How massive are we talking?" Batman asked, his voice still calm but serious.

"Massive enough to be a major threat," Cyborg replied, his voice tense. "Whatever it is, it's giving off energy levels similar to some of our most dangerous enemies..."

Batman's mind twisted as he considered the implications. Starfire was powerful, but if these readings were accurate, she might be facing something far beyond her current capacity. He quickly tapped into the communication link to reach her.

"Starfire, what's your status?!" Batman's voice cut through the silence.

There was a brief pause before Starfire's voice came through, slightly breathless but controlled. "I'm fine, but I've encountered something terrible. T-There's a... powerful opponent here. E-Enigma is handling it."

"Enigma?" Batman repeated, his brow furrowing. The name was familiar, whispered in the shadows among criminals and the underworld. A vigilante with no clear allegiance, operating under the radar—dangerous and unpredictable and the same one they had been looking for... "What exactly are you dealing with?"

Before Starfire could respond, another surge of energy spiked on the monitor. Batman's gaze flicked back to the readings. "Starfire, listen to me carefully. If Enigma is involved, this situation might be more complex than it appears. I want you to assess the situation and prioritize your safety. Understood?"

"U-Understood!" Starfire replied, her voice firm despite the utter chaos in her background.

As the line went silent... Batman stared at the monitor, his thoughts racing. The presence of Enigma was now adding an unpredictable element to an already dangerous situation. He knew they needed to be cautious; Starfire might be dealing with more than just a physical threat. Enigma's methods were unorthodox, and from what he knew, Enigma's objectives often blurred the lines between right and wrong.

Batman quickly glanced at the rest of the team, who had been silently listening. "Prepare for a possible extraction. We may need to intervene if things escalate."

Cyborg nodded, already running calculations on how quickly they could get to Starfire's location if needed. The rest of the team exchanged glances, the gravity of the situation sinking in.

Batman's eyes returned to the monitor, his mind already strategizing the next move. Whatever was happening out there, they needed to be ready—for anything.
