Deaf Ears

The day for the family dinner between the Wallace family and the Clark family has finally arrived. 

Anastasia and Xavier were the first to arrive because Anastasia insisted on helping out her mother and the servants with the cooking. 

As soon as Anastasia arrived at the Clark mansion, she hugged her family excluding Tracie who seemed to have a distant look on her face, which bothered her before she headed towards the kitchen. 

"Mother, what can I help you within the kitchen?" Anastasia asked, all hyped up as she washed her hands in the sink. 

"Oh dear, you know you don't have to help, but since you ins—" Nora paused when she caught Xavier by the corners of her eyes and he shook his head slightly, then mouthed She can't cook.

Nora was a little shocked at first, but nodded in understanding.
