"Miss Miller, you've already been a part of the scheme to deceive Zoren Pierson because someone saw you as the perfect scapegoat. Don't fall for the same trick again."

Patricia's shoulder shook, her reaction telling Angel that he had guessed correctly. As soon as Patricia's eyes met Angel's, her lips quivered.

"How did you know...?" she blurted out under her breath, thinking that Zoren had become obsessed with her and was stalking her. "Have you guys been watching me? Or don't tell me you were the ones who sent that invitation?"

"What invitation?"

"The one you sent me the other day!" she exclaimed, snatching her bag and then grabbing her phone. She didn't carry the card, but she had taken a photo of it just in case she would need it. "This one!"

As soon as Patricia lifted her phone, Angel narrowed his eyes and read the card aloud so Penny could hear it.
