Early morning.
Loud and brief squawking of birds came from outside the window.
Fang Ye got up from the bed and saw several little birds chasing and frolicking among the branches of a tree outside the window, fluttering from one branch to another, causing the branches and leaves to shake continuously.
Seeing the little birds with their Mohawk-like crests, Fang Ye smiled slightly, "So it's the adorable Red-whiskered Bulbuls."
The Red-whiskered Bulbul is easy to recognize, its most distinctive feature being the tuft of feathers standing straight up on top of its head, as if styled with hair gel. A patch of red can be spotted under its tail.
There is actually a touch of red on its white cheeks too, but it's easy to overlook if you don't look closely.
The Red-whiskered Bulbul chirped and chased around. Fang Ye leaned on the windowsill and blew a half-hearted whistle out the window, at which a few Red-whiskered Bulbuls immediately looked his way.
