Mess

He looked at her with a confused face, still quite worried and not understanding anything of her apparent distress.

Yuzuru's gaze went to Alex and the boy looked even more confused than he did.

"Mia, talk to me." He told the crying woman on his shoulder. He was confused, lost, and very worried about her distress. This was unlike anything he had seen from her.

He saw Mia as this incredibly strong woman that raised her child alone all of those years and it wasn't often that she allowed anyone to see her soft side, let alone her tears.

"I'm so stupid."

"Ok... Tell me why."

She looked at Alex for a few seconds, she didn't want her son to see her like this and especially not know the reasoning behind it.

He seemed to understand her reluctance.

"Alex... I brought breakfast, how about you start eating?"

The boy was obviously worried, seeing his mom in this state was a bit shocking and hard to understand.

"Mommy?" He asked with a shaky voice.

She gathered all of her strength and cleaned her tears before facing the child.

"I'm okay, sweetie. Just go eat and we will join you soon, ok?"

"You sure?"

"Yes."

Alex, as usual, obeyed his mother, even if he wasn't feeling like it.

Moments after, she was sitting in bed with Yuzuru carefully looking at her and waiting for explanations.

"I'm stupid... That's all."

"Why were you crying?"

"Because I realized I was stupid and you didn't deserve how stupid."

"Me? This is because of me?"

"That text of yours, yesterday... I thought you were mad that I didn't answer you all day and my head just started running through so many possible scenarios... You know it's hard for me to trust men, but you didn't deserve the things that went across my brain. I barely slept and when you showed up at the door with food I just realized how wrong it truly was."

He allowed her to speak, knowing that it was probably best to hear the whole thing before knowing how to fix the obvious mess.

Yuzuru tried to understand before saying anything, he didn't think he had done anything to make her react in that way, but knowing what this girl had been through made him realize that he needed to be more patient with her.

It was only when he thought of her past that he truly understood what this was about

"Mia, I'm not him. I won't disappear, I won't leave you." Yuzuru took his phone and checked the Text he had sent. "I said, I will see you tomorrow"

"Yeah... I know. I told you I'm stupid."

"No. You were hurt and you want to protect your heart. I want to protect it too. I need it intact for me, yeah?"

He was so corny but Mia loved it, hell, maybe she even loved him.

"I haven't cried like this in years."

"I think it was the lack of sleep." He told her with a smirk.

"Probably."

"Did you really not sleep because of me?"

"Not because of you, my stupid brain, and overthinking."

"Do you want to get some rest? I can watch him..."

"Don't you have rehearsals before the show starts?"

"I do, but..."

"You're not skipping. It's ok. I can sleep later."

Yuzuru pouted for a bit before she kissed his lips. It felt good, it felt home. She had missed him way too much.

"That's better" he said as they parted. "There's the reaction I expected when I knocked on the door."

She smiled, still a bit uncertain. "Are you sure you're not mad that I didn't answer the messages yesterday?"

"Mia... I didn't expect you to. I wanted you to have fun, not think of me 24/7."

"I do, you know?"

"Huh?"

"Think of you 24/7."

He smirked and grabbed her again, pushing his lips against hers once again.

Yuzuru only wished they could stay like this for a while, ignoring all responsibilities and problems that awaited him outside of that room.

He got lost in her, forgetting their surroundings as he deepened the kiss.

As polite as he was, Yuzuru was still a man and one that was completely enamored and attracted by the woman in his arms. It didn't take too much to get carried away, especially not when her sweet moans filled his ear.

Still, the moment didn't last too long. As soon as Yuzuru's hands started teasing beneath her clothing, she stopped him.

He pouted once more when she pushed him away. Almost like a child that had been taken, its favorite candy.

"Alex..." She mumbled and he bit his lip.

Mia was more responsible than him in this sense because he had truly forgotten about the boy.

"Sorry" he said, attempting to look guilty even if he didn't regret his actions.

"Should we join him?"

Mia smirked at him, looking at him up and down before biting her lip. "Mia?"

"You tell me."

He followed her gaze to the slightly obvious bulge in his pants that he had barely noticed. Yuzuru had gotten so used to being hard around her that he got good at ignoring it.

He coughed as he realized what she meant, standing up to see if the situation would improve.

"You think he would notice?"

"I don't know...I did" she said with a guilty smile.

"Because you looked..."

"Maybe..."

"Mia...I..." He felt the need to explain, Yuzuru didn't want to look like a creep in her eyes.

She seemed to notice this as she got closer to him, not helping the situation one bit.

"It's ok" she whispered.

"But I..."

"Yuzu, it's ok. I'm wet too."
