After catching his original Treecko, Ash now had 4 Pokémon in his team for Hoenn. If he counts his two Pokémon Eggs, he has reached the full number of 6 Pokémon for his party.
[The 4 Pokémon's are his Pikachu, Dratini, Taillow, and the newly caught Treecko.]
The first white Pokémon Egg should be hatching soon from what Ash can see. The results of Nurse Joy's inspection at the Pokémon Center along the way also proved that both Pokémon Eggs are developing very well inside.
"Treecko, can't you use Grass-type skills yet?"
While waiting for Brock to make their lunch, Ash of course took advantage of the time to start training his new Pokémon's.
Treecko was still his small branch in the corner of his mouth, but looking at Taillow and Dratini training hard without any restraints, Treecko also showed a great fighting spirit.
This is the type of Pokémon Ash looks for!
Now this newly born Treecko only has two skills to attack with, Quick Attack and Pound, which is used with his strong tail.
It also cannot use the classic Vine Whip attack like his Venusaur and his Meganium can.
But it also has a Grass-type skill that can be learned at this stage, and that is Absorb!
It absorbs the opponent's nutrients to make it lose its health, not only does that cause some serious damage in the later stages, but this also restore the users own health by absorbing the nutrients, which is a very beneficial skill for Treecko at this stage.
Moreover, Absorb also has a few advanced types, which are the more efficient Mega Drain and the ultimate one, Giga Drain.
So this is the direction that Ash will focus on training his Treecko next on.
"Ash, you can continue to train later! Come and eat!" Brock called out to Ash to eat. Important meals like lunch cannot be missed, and such rigorous training must ensure the provision of nutrition to work with the best efficient.
"Brock's cooking is really great!" May was really a lucky girl to be able to travel with Ash and Brock. Not only is Ash a very strong and capable Trainer, which she can learn lot from, but there was also Brock, who can make such delicious food for her.
While everyone was enjoying the delicious food, May's Torchic was running around holding a fruit, looking full of energy.
Its life has been particularly comfortable since it followed May, who didn't train it much.
Even Treecko, who was much younger than Torchic, can beat it in a battle because of how it was raised in the wild and Ash's very experienced commands.
Compared to Ash's Pokémon who kept stuffing food into their mouths, it looked particularly lively.
"This Torchic sure is really lively!" As a professional Pokémon Breeder, Brock certainly pays close attention to his friends Pokémon's.
"May, you should try to exercise it occasionally. There is no need to reach my level of intensity. You can ask Brock for specific plans because he is better at this than I am!" Ash suggested to May while looking at her Torchic.
"Okay, I will definitely work hard!" May is still completely new to being a Trainer, but she still seriously considered Ash's suggestion.
The group were quietly enjoying themselves with their food. Pikachu and Dratini suddenly stopped eating and turned to look at the trees behind them. Then Treecko jumped up to the tree beside them.
Ash also frowned, then smiled and said, "Pikachu, Dratini, leave this to Treecko!"
They nodded and began to ignore them, enjoying their own food like there was g anything interesting happening. Taillow also looked a little eager to try, so Ash could only smile and said, "If Treecko can't beat them, it's going to be your turn!"
This time Taillow nodded with a bit more satisfaction.
Seeing their appearance, May and Max were a bit curious, "Ash/Big Bro, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, it just that Brock's delicious cooking attracted a wild powerful Pokémon." Ash said with a smile.
When they heard that this was a wild powerful Pokémon, the two siblings had completely different reactions. May was a bit panicked, but Max was very excited about it, and then they looked over together.
"Come on out, Treecko, use Pound!!"
At that moment, a snake head suddenly emerged from the bushes, and its long red fangs world definitely look very ferocious and terrifying to most normal person.
May suddenly trembled and pulled her brother to stand in front of her as a human shield. Max immediately recognized the identity of the snakehead, "BIg Bro, that's Seviper!"
That's right, it's the Poison-type Pokémon Seviper. It is known for its long venomous fangs and its long poisonous knife-shaped tail!
However, the compatibility between such a Pokémon and Ash is far too low, and its mortal enemy Zangoose may not be any different.
Treecko responded very quickly to Ash's instructions even though it hasn't been that long since he was caught by Ash. The moment the body of the Seviper appeared out from the bushes, Treecko immediately jumped from the tree branch it was standing up on and hit the its head with his Pound attack!
However, the Seviper reacted quickly and was able to avoid the attack from over its head. Instead, it opened his bloody mouth and bit Treecko hard.
With Treecko's current small body, it might be too much for him to take a such a bite.
"Quick Attack!"
Ash's order arrived just in time, and Treecko's weird but quick movement skills made him adjust his posture violently in the air. With a hit on Seviper's head, he jumped out to avoid Seviper's teeth.
"Ash, Treecko's current strength is too weak to defeat this Pokémon!" Brock warned from the sideline.
Brock doesn't know this, but Treecko, like his Trainer Ash, has a very strong character and refuses to admit defeat on most occasions. Even if the opponent is stronger than him, he will not back down. Ash believes in his efforts, so he will definitely respond to it!
"Use the trees around you to use Quick Attack on, and look for opportunities to use Pound on it in your intervals!"
To fight the strong with the weak, you must know how to use your own advantages. The dense trees here are a very suitable battlefield for Ash's Treecko to use.
Treecko nodded to Ash's order, he used Quick Attack hoped to another one of trees, and then jumped back and forth between all of the trees, getting faster and faster each time he landed in one place.
Then he stopped behind Seviper and slapped it hard with his big tail!
"SEVIPER!"
But at this moment, the Seviper actually spit out a ball of Haze, covering himself and Treecko who rushed over to him.
Ash frowned, and with a flash of blue light, he realized that Treecko inside of the Haze was in grave danger. It was entangled by Seviper, and it was now almost in a Poisoner Statue Condition!
"Taillow, blow away the Haze!"
However, Ash still didn't panicked. He always forced himself not to panic during the battle and after all the strong Trainers and Pokémon's he faced, thsi was almost nothing to him.
Taillow followed his instructions and flapped his wings to blow away Haze clouds, revealing Treecko and Seviper's current condition.
"Ash, it's not good to be trapped in that place!" Max suddenly exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu and Dratini were fun about to take action, but Treecko, who was entangled, suddenly opened his eyes. It refused to admit defeat, and it didn't want to give up in front of his new Master.
His bosy began to release green light spots, and Seviper's physical strength began to be slowly drawn away from it and integrated into his own body.
"Absorb?" Ash's eyes lit up. This is the attack that is pretty much equivalent of the Grass-type Starters like Bulbasaur and Chikorita's Vine Whip, but for some reason Treecko couldn't use it.
Now under Ash's training, he can finally use Absorb to save himself!
Even if Grass-type skills are not effective against Seviper's Poison-type, Seviper's physical strength was still being suddenly but constantly being drained by Treecko.
It felt weak, so it let go of Treecko. Ash threw two fruits to it, and it slowly slithered back into the bushes and walked away.
Unexpectedly, this guy later encountered the Rocket Trio and bit off Jessie's long hair.
The berserk Jessie actually beat it with her bare hands until it lost it lost otsvaboly it fight and was subdued by Jessie.
The compatibility between Jessie and Viper-type Pokémon is very high.
