Moving forward.

Amari looks through his window as Apollo and his mother enter the carriage, before jumping in the carriage Apollo looks to the window where Amari's room is, they look at one another for the last time, with a smirk Apollo lifts his hand and Amari does the same as a sign of goodbye. He finally jumps in and seconds after the carriage goes off.

Amari leaves his room and goes to see what the other rooms look like. He goes towards the closest door and excitingly opens it curious in what's behind it, he opens the door and the whole room is covered in pink. Unlike his room the color of his room which has more than one color (blue and green) this one has nothing but pink.

He slowly creeps in and explores the room with his eyes, every corner of the room is pink. The brightness of the color began to fascinate him, the brightness of the color made him feel a sense of calmness that he didn't understand himself. The pink throughout the room was in different color types on different furniture of the room, and this bought more personality to the room than his. He finally finds himself in the middle of the room and does a turn to fully grasp it; while turning around he sees dolls on the bed and goes to look through them, they were also pink and matched the tone of the bed.

He takes one of them from the bunch and he observes it through different angles by turning around and playing with it. After he gets bored of it, he throws it back to the bed and goes to the wardrobe and finds nothing.

After looking through the room and was satisfied, he left to go to another room, there were on three other doors left and he wanted to go through all of them. As he was about to enter the through the third door, he heard Nana calling him to go downstairs.

''Yes?''

''It's time for dinner.''

He nods. She leads him to the dining room, and they both go on to sit on squared dining wooden table that can fit six chairs maximum. Nana has already prepared and plated the food, and the food waits for them along with cutlery surrounding the plate. They both take their seats; Nana takes the fork and her knife and starts using both to eat her meal neatly. Amari looks at what and how she its and attempts to copy but he makes a mess with his plate, after many attempts his drops on of the veggies on the floor. Amari starts getting annoyed and drops both his fork and knife and eats with his hand. Nana realizes he is struggling.

''Pick it up.''

Amari looks at her confused and she points at the fork and knife.

''Pick them up and eat properly.''

''I can't eat with these things; don't you have a spoon?''

''This is not a meal for a spoon.''

''But I can't eat like this, I don't even know how to hold them.''

''Which is your preferred hand?''

''What?''

''Which hand is your dominant hand?''

''I don't know.''

She sighs ''At school... what hand do you use to write or draw?''

''Both.''

''What? That doesn't make sense. Why would you use both hands?''

''I switch when one my hands is tired of writing and write with the other.''

''Sophia owes me for this one.'' she utters as she looks to the roof in despair.

She finally sighs and pick up her fork and knife to illustrate how to use them.

''The fork... take the fork with your left hand, and then the knife... take it with your right hand.''

Amari follows the instruction carefully.

''Use the fork to hold the meat in place and use the knife to slice through the meat around the area where you're holding it with the fork.''

Amari follows the exact instructions that are given to him and becomes successful on his attempt, and he immediately lights up in a smile.

''I did it ... I did it.'' He smiles in excitement.

''Okay... when are you going to eat it?''

He finally shoves the meat in his mouth, in celebration of his little victory. This made Amari enjoy the meal even more as he kept bragging in his thoughts about being able master eating with a fork and knife for the first time.

''Hey, can you wash dishes?''

Amari shakes his head as his mouth is filled with his food.

''Can you do any chores?''

''What's that?''

''I don't know if you're joking, but if you are, it's not funny.''

''No, I'm not joking.''

''It's okay, I'll teach you. Since you stay here you have to do your fair share duties around here.''

After they finished their dinner, they went to the kitchen so that Amari could learn how to wash the dishes. He gradually thought him and surprisingly was learning very fast. After just a few minutes he could do everything on his own and Nana left him be.

After finishing with the chore, he left to his room and since it was late he was planning on going to bed. When he gets to his bedroom, he finds pajamas put on the middle of his bed.

''Hey, old lady!! what are these clothes doing here?!''

''They're your pajamas, it's what you wear when you go to sleep! I suggest you wear them, they're comfortable!'' Nana shouts from the other room.

As Amari is taking his clothes off Nana comes to his room, the second she reaches the door, she completely freezes. She doesn't believe what she's looking at, she wants to utter something, but she can't bring herself to say anything.

''Your body... so many scars.'' She whispers as she looks at Amari with pity.

Before turning around, he quickly puts his pajamas on.

''What happened?''

''I don't... I don't want to talk about it.''

''Poor boy.''

''What do you want?''

''Nothing... it's nothing, just go to bed. We have an early morning tomorrow; I'm taking you to school.''

''Okay.''

Nana switches the lights off on the passage and leaves to her room. Amari does the same and goes to sleep. Nana gets to her room and can't find herself to sleep, the image of Amari's scars is printed on her thoughts. She has never seen something like that on a child before.

For the first time in her life, she didn't know what to do with a child.
