She strides toward the staircase, intent on searching the upper floors, but just then, the other housekeeper, Rosie, emerges from the study, a worried expression on her face.

"Ah, Ma'am, I'm afraid Mr. Ramsey isn't here at the moment," the woman says, her tone tentative.

Robin whirls around, her eyes narrowing. "What do you mean he's not here?" she demands. "Where is he?"

The younger woman shrinks back slightly, sensing the tension in Robin's voice.

"He, um, received an urgent call and had to leave suddenly. He said he'd be back later this evening."

Robin lets out a frustrated huff, her hands clenching into fists at her sides.

Of course, Ramsey would be gone when she needed him the most. Typical.

With a resigned sigh, Robin turns and stomps up the stairs, her mind still whirling with the day's events.

As she reaches the door to her bedroom, she pauses, taking a deep, steadying breath before pushing it open and stepping inside.
