"Damn it!"
Seeing that his face had been injured, Jack realized it wasn't as severe as he initially thought, but it was enough for him to lose his weapon. He couldn't help but curse, wondering why there were snipers in a place like this—wasn't it ridiculous?
After this thought quickly passed through his mind, he didn't have time to dwell on it and quickly found a place to hide.
Boom!
Another shot rang out, and just as Jack ducked for cover, the bullet struck right where he had been standing.
"I'll take care of him!"
Emma, who had just been dealing with some rebels, also heard the sound of the sniper rifle. Seeing the front of the car where Jack was pinned down, she shouted loudly and ran towards the sniper's direction, drawing the opponent's attention.
Sure enough, when she yelled and started moving, the sniper noticed her and slowly turned his weapon to face the approaching enemy.
Hearing the continuous gunfire coming from the other side, Jack felt a large number of rebels moving quickly towards the entrance and bolted out of hiding.
The number of enemies was truly overwhelming, and before knowing when the others would arrive, the two of them alone couldn't fight against the sniper and the rebels.
Ignoring the rebels who had already entered, Jack did his best to avoid the roaring bullets and ran towards the door.
As he reached the door, he saw the rebels coming in from the far end and quickly shut the iron gate behind him.
He then wedged a rifle horizontally in the middle of the door and pulled a heavy object next to him to block it.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The rebels, who were desperately rushing forward, saw someone closing the door and all raised their rifles to shoot, trying to stop that person from sealing the entrance.
The bullets pounded against the iron door, creating a loud clatter and sparking, but it didn't affect the person on the other side at all.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
After sealing the door completely, Jack let out a sigh of relief as he saw the door remained firmly shut despite the violent impact.
Having blocked a large number of rebels outside, he could now focus all his energy on dealing with the lunatic wolves and the sniper inside the factory.
Hearing the sound of quickly approaching footsteps, Jack looked at his empty hand, immediately held his breath, and quickly hid.
By the time the few rebels still in the factory arrived, he was already gone.
"Damn it!"
Just as Jack hid, he heard an almost roaring curse, followed by another voice giving orders.
"You two, go and remove everything blocking the door, and let the others in!"
Silently lifting his head, Jack saw six armed rebels standing not far from the door, with the black man who had assumed command earlier leading them.
Upon receiving the order, two of the rebels quickly ran towards the door, intending to cooperate with the people on the other side to open it.
Seeing the two men approaching, Jack knew he couldn't let them open the door.
He slowly pulled out his pistol. It had six bullets—if he could kill them all with one shot each, the battle could be resolved quickly.
But this plan carried significant risks. He was a bit tired, and if he missed any shots, it could spell the end for him.
The enemies weren't lifeless objects—they wouldn't just stand there and obediently get shot. They would move and evade his attacks, which greatly increased the difficulty of shooting.
At that moment, Jack recalled seeing videos of confrontations. Those people were decisive, accurate, and had no hesitation in their eyes when facing enemies.
To be honest, he envied that skill, but he knew he wasn't as brave. Otherwise, this fight with a few men would be like battling a demon.
However, now he had no choice and much to lose, and he had never been one to give up. He picked up a red brick scattered in the corner and hurled it towards the other side of the door. Immediately after, he gathered energy into his feet and sprinted out of his hiding spot.
Crack!
The swiftly thrown red brick shot through the air, hit the ground hard, cracked, and the sound echoed through the empty factory building.
This noise immediately drew the attention of all the rebels, who unconsciously turned their heads to look that way, completely ignoring the figure sprinting out from the other side.
But when they found the broken brick on the ground, they suddenly realized that the enemy was attacking from the direction the brick had come from, but it was already too late.
Bang! Bang!
Rushing out of hiding, Jack fired two shots at the two rebels heading towards the door. The bullets precisely peeled their heads, and they died instantly.
He then turned his gun towards the four rebels on the other side, running towards them while continuing to fire.
Jack could feel his energy rapidly depleting, and if he didn't make a quick decision, he wouldn't last much longer.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
He fired four more shots in quick succession, emptying the pistol. The bullets flew out of the barrel and shot towards the vital areas of the four men.
"Ah!"
Accompanied by the sound of bullets piercing flesh and blood, three of the rebels let out a scream before dying and falling to the ground.
But the muscular black man reacted extremely quickly, dodging the bullets in time and avoiding injury.
At the same time, after evading the surprise attack, he skillfully turned around, swung his weapon behind him, and tried to shoot the man who had secretly attacked them.
But as the black man turned around, a dark object appeared in front of his eyes and struck him in the face.
"Damn!"
When he saw something about to hit him, the black man immediately recognized that it was just a pistol.
He didn't think about dodging at all; he only squinted slightly, expecting to continue pulling the trigger.
But when the pistol actually hit his face, he realized he was completely wrong.
It felt like he had been punched hard—his head snapped back, and his body staggered two steps backward uncontrollably.
As he cursed loudly and tried to keep fighting, he found that the figure on the other side was already very close.
"Ah!"
The black man's pupils suddenly contracted, and he instinctively squeezed the trigger with his fingers.
But Jack, rushing towards the black man, grabbed the barrel of the gun and yanked it upward.
Bang! Bang!
The bullets violently flew towards the ceiling of the factory building as Jack grabbed the other end of the rifle with his other hand, ready to wrench the weapon away.
Naturally, the black man resisted and struggled to pull the rifle back.
Unexpectedly, the opponent would need so much force... Seeing the stalemate, Jack let go of the hand holding the gun and punched the black man.
Seeing this, the black man quickly released one hand to block the punch.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Jack turned around, lifted his foot, and kicked the black man in the stomach. At the same time, his other hand took advantage of the situation to grab the rifle.
The black man, panicking, dodged the kick but couldn't grab the hand holding the gun, so he had no choice but to let go.
But he also knew that he couldn't let the other party get the gun, so he simply lifted his leg and kicked the rifle hard.
After all, the strength of the legs is greater than that of the arms. This sudden force made Jack unable to hold onto the weapon, and the rifle flew several meters away.
Shaking his slightly numb hands and feeling the exhaustion in his body, he could only feel a bit of regret.
If he had been stronger, he definitely could have kept the gun in his hands, and the battle would have ended.
But things don't always go as one wishes. Jack realized that his actions had significantly changed the positions of the two. He was now some distance away from the bodies of the three rebels and the weapons beside them.
Although still relatively close, he knew the black man wouldn't allow him the chance to grab any firearms.
The black man also noticed this, and with a sinister smile on his face, he grabbed his worn-out shirt with both hands and ripped it off, revealing the muscular build beneath.
Then he reached behind his waist, pulled out the machete strapped there, pointed the sharp blade at Jack, and slowly said, "I was at a disadvantage just now; let's start over!"
"Heh..."
Knowing that this fight was inevitable, even though Jack really wanted to escape from here as soon as possible, he had to deal with the problem in front of him first.
Drawing his blood-stained dagger, he also slowly assumed an offensive stance. "You don't know it, but my outfit is specially made for the commander, you damn fool."
