A Journey to Remember

"Your wand?" Clint echoed after glancing at the target.

"Yeah, I'm a wizard." Harry said as he showed them his wand. "My abilities are magical."

"Pay up." Clint smirked to Natasha as he held out his hand. Natasha rolled her eyes before handing him a few dollars.

"Of course you fuckers betted on it." Harry said, resisting the urge to also roll his eyes.

"Anyway, magic, what can you do?" Natasha asked.

"Near anything," Harry answered. "it's how I actually make a lot of my money, I make stuff then I sell it."

"Could you make money?" Clint asked.

"I could but it's not really something I do because it's really just simpler to wave my hand and make a chair than it is too make a note and make sure it looks like proper money." Harry replied.

"Are there any others like you?" Natasha asked after glancing back to make sure their target was still there.

"No, I'm one of a kind." Harry answered.

"How do you know?"

"Just trust me on it." Harry said right before he took a sip out of a fizzy drink can, Harry looked in the target's direction and looked back towards Clint and Natasha after confirming that the target was still there. Harry also just didn't want to look at the man eat, his table manners were worse than Ron Weasley's.

....

Harry was currently in his apartment doing push ups with Padfoot resting on top of his back, he was interrupted by a knock on the door. He paused after finishing his rep and glanced towards the door.

"Harry," Natasha's voice called. "it's me."

"Woof." Padfoot barked after a second of sniffing, confirming to Harry that it was indeed her. Harry shifted to one hand as his wand appeared in his right hand, he flicked it and the door became unlocked. The wand disappeared and Harry continued his push ups while Padfoot jumped off him and walked towards the door before opening it by touching a pair of runes with his nose, thankfully he was magical enough for the runes to work.

"Hi." Natasha smiled to Padfoot as she entered and closed the door, Padfoot rubbed his head against her leg and earned himself some petting. Natasha's eyes left Padfoot and she looked towards Harry who was doing his pushups. It didn't escape her attention that he was currently shirtless and only wearing a pair of white tracksuit bottoms. Natasha gave him a theatrical wolf whistle. "Looking nice." She said before she walked in and sat on his sofa.

"Can I help you?" Harry asked a short while later after finishing his push ups. He got up and waved his wand around himself, getting rid of any sweat and bad smells.

"Well," Natasha said, ignoring the temptation to comment on his casual use of magic. " just came to talk." She said while giving him a look over, greatly enjoying the free show she was getting.

"Is that why you've put extra care into your hair?" Harry asked right before he was suddenly wearing a grey shirt.

"Pardon?" Natasha blinked, missing his question due to a combination of being disappointed at him covering him up and jealous that he could make clothes whenever he wanted plus a bit of amazement at the fact that he could make clothes whenever he wanted.

"Your hair, you've put more effort into it than you usually do." Harry replied.

"Glad you could tell, does my hair interest you?" She asked in a teasing tone.

"I will get a hose." Harry said with a hint of warning.

"Spoilsport," She pouted for a second before her face returned to normal. "I have got an assignment."

"O...kay?" Harry said, waiting for her to continue.

"It involves Stark." Natasha said. "I wanted to know if you are interested in doing it with me."

"When you say 'it' you are talking about the assignment, right?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

"If you want." She smirked.

"Well I will have to refuse either way," Harry replied. "I have something I plan to do and I will be away for a couple of months."

"Oh, what would that be?" She asked curiously.

"Something personal." Harry replied, his voice letting her know that he wasn't going to say anymore about it than that.

"Fair enough, but feel free to talk to me if you ever want to." She said with a smile.

"Thanks," Harry said after holding back the first comment that came to his mind. "Fury's been notified that I am leaving so unless the world gets attacked by aliens or something then don't call me."

"Fine, can I at least know when you are going?" She asked.

"Tomorrow." Harry answered.

"And when were you going to tell me this?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Tomorrow via text." Harry replied.

"So, want to go somewhere to eat or order a takeout or something?" Natasha offered.

"Takeout's fine with me." Harry shrugged and sat down next to her as she took out her phone.

"What about Padfoot?" Natasha asked.

"He's coming with me." Harry said as Padfoot barked in agreement.

"Well...I'll miss you." Natasha said.

"Thanks but I..."

"I was talking to Padfoot." She interrupted, she smirked at him when he glared at her. Padfoot's barking didn't help.

....

Harry arrived at his destination, a beach in France, not just any beach though. In another world, in another time, Fleur Delacour would live here. She would live here in a small beach house with her daughter, Victoire Weasley, or Vicky as he liked to call her. It pained Harry, looking at the spot where her house used to be, only to see nothing but sand.

No longer would a beautiful white house be standing there, visible from the blue seas, no longer would it add life to the plain looking beach. Harry looked around, Padfoot was standing next to him but there was nobody else on the beach. The skies were grey, a light rain showered over everywhere.

The temptation to roar was high but Harry stopped himself just in time to place privacy wards and spells in case anyone happened to come by and see him. Harry's eyes closed as various things came into his mind, an image of Bill Weasley on the floor with scars on his face and blood pouring out his neck. A near broken mentally and emotionally broken Fleur Delacour crying at his funeral, young Vicky not understanding where her father was.

One memory that arrived in Harry's head was a month after Bill's death, Harry remembered arriving at the house. Fleur had opened the door, she gasped when she saw him covered in blood, that was the day that Harry had avenged Bill's death. When she found out what he had done she hugged him so hard that she nearly finished him off. Harry remembered the week after Bill's funeral when he spent a day with a young Vicky who didn't know how to cope with her father's death.
