An Accidental Confession

Feeling a bit better, Kellen shifted in the Captain's lap. The Captain, noticing the shift, smiled, and with a smooth motion, changed his position so that Kellen was sitting flush against his stomach, his legs on either side. Blushing at the intimate position, Kellen met the warm, glowing gaze of the man below him and a wave of emotion washed over him. How did he earn this man as his pair? He was too nice to him. 

"C-Captain, what did you mean by your previous statement?" Kellen asked softly, and the Captain smiled at the younger man. The Captain had a feeling that until Kellen formed long lasting affection for him, he'd be answering this quiet concern until the end of time.
