[Would you like to read the letter from "The Man from the White Room" (Y/N)?]
[Would you like a tutorial on the Remnant System (Y/N)?]
'I shouldn't even have a system, so why do I have one?!' Even though it's been a few minutes since I got those system notifications, I've been stumped. How did asking for my aura to be unlocked lead to me getting a system? 'Wait, "The Man from the White Room?" Wasn't he the who oversaw my decision on reincarnation and me having to decide an ability to buy? Maybe I can get some answers from the letter?'
Not wanting to know if there was another patient by speaking, I mentally said, '[Yes], read the letter.'
Almost immediately, the panel that asked on reading the letter was replaced by a much longer panel that reads,
["Dear Kokoro Taji,
If you are reading this letter, then you have either reached the appropriate age for the system to enter an active state or have experienced an event that has caused you to remember your past life causing the system to activate prematurely.
If you are wondering about the system, it is not of any other reason but to equal the amount of karma from your previous life. You simply had more than the average person but less than the highly regarded people in your past life's worlds history.
The "Remnant System" was made to bring you to the strongest in terms of normal human strangth. Initiating the tutorial will allow the "Remnant System" to introduce to you its primary functions and unlock two functions that are currently locked at the moment.
I hope you have a better second life.
~ "The Man from the White Room"]
After a few minutes of rereading the letter, the panel containing the letter blinked out of existence while one panel changed and the other panel remained the same.

[Would you like a tutorial of the Remnant System (Y/N)?]
'... Well, at least I got a more logical explanation than the typical "You wished for less, have a system," type thing.' I look at the remaining system panels. I breathed out a sigh and made my decision. 'Well, beggars can't be choosers. [Yes].'
[Ding!]
The two system panels disappeared, and another system panel appears in their place.
[Optional Quest (Tutorial): Introduction to the Remnant System
The Host has gained access to the Remnant System but has no way around on how it functions. In this tutorial, the host will learn how to learn:
• How to navigate the Remnant System
• All the functions the Remnant System has to offer
• What each function is capable of performing for the host
Rewards:
• Full Inventory Function Access (5 spaces)
• Full Point Shop Access
• 100 SP
• Evolution of Skill: Memory
• Skill: Basic Combat
• Previous Skills from Previous Life
[Accept Quest (Y/N)?]
[Ding!]
Almost immediately, another panel in red appears below the quest with...
[Warning! Not accepting will result in the host being lost and confused about how the Remnant System functions. This will also result in the loss of skills attained in hosts' previous life. But the host will be able to use all functions but not the rewards for not accepting the quest.]
'Is this even a question? Of course, I want to know how it works and get the skills from my previous life! [Yes]'
The previous panels that appeared are gone and are replaced by three others.
[The Tutorial Quest has been accepted]
[The Remnant System has five functions, each with different properties and priorities. These functions are:
• Status: Show the Host's titles, AG, Skills, and their condition.
• Quests: Show the Host's progress on Mandatory, Optional, and Emergency Quests and even see previously completed quests.
• Point Shop: The host can buy anything that originates from the World of Remnant.
• Inventory: Allows the host to store items away from unwanted hands]
[In order to access each function, call out their name individually, try it out!]
'Hmm? Everything about this is what a system would have, but... condition and Point Shop are new. Alright then, [Status]!'
[Ding!]
The two smaller panels disappeared from view, and a much larger panel appears in my sights.
[---------------------------------------------------------]
Status
Name (?): Taji Kokoro
Titles (?): Little Silver (Parents),
Quirkless (Gov.),
Gray Specks, Extra (Bakugo Katsuki), Worthless, Underdeveloped, etc. (Majority of Aldera Junior High),
Mistake, Shame, etc. (Removed by the Enya and Fukino Family)
AG (?): {■■■■■■■■■■}
Semblance (?): Creation (Activation) (?)
Skills (?): Endure, Muffle, Memorize, Dash, Reading (JHL), Writing (JHL), 6 more Skills...
Condition (?):
Physically sore, slightly mentally tired
[---------------------------------------------------------]
'That's... not a lot to read.' I stare at the status panel in surprise. 'For something not overpowered, it's very simple.' I then look over the first section of the status panel. 'I won't bother commanding on the name part but the titles I will. [Titles].'
[Titles: Nicknames given to by others. Having titles does not increase the hosts strength, intelligence, speed, agilitiy, etc. But it does have a good way of showing who likes and dislikes the user.]
'(Sigh) I was hoping too much for the stat increase when equiping a title like Solo Leveling. But those three, however...' I look at four of the titles or should I say who gave them. 'Bakugo Katsuki, Aldera Junior High, you have no idea who you messed with, past life or not. I don't care what the MHA fandom says. He is a dick and should get what's coming to him. The Enya and Fukino family will never be mine. Not with their current views in society and what they did.' I clench my hands into fists, thinking at that last part.
I then shake my head and calm myself a bit by breathing slowly. 'No, don't even think about them, they don't matter. Now, [AG].'
[AG or Aura Gauge: The amount of aura you have at your disposal. You can increase your physical capabilities using aura such as your defense or speed. Aura has a passive effect and can help heal wounds faster than normal. You can also use your aura to use your semblance(s). While there are no numbers to tell how much the user has, colors on the gauge will indicate how much aura the user has at their disposal.]
'Okay, that makes sense. But I feel like this is a homage to the RWBY games. But I don't see a health bar either. I'm just going to chalk up the aura increase on karma being used and... what the hell do you mean, Creation?! [Semin blance]!'
[Semblances: The manifestation of one's inate and personal power unique to each individual with its effects greatly varying from user to user. In order to use unlock one's semblance, they must either go through strong physical or emotional events. Semblances can also evolve with their users depending on how long their aura is used. Using one's semblance will consume their aura. No more AG, no more semblance.
Note: The result of the host having the semblance Creation is the evolution of Aura Construct and sacrificing Overcome. Aura Construct would have been the hoshosts'mblance if not for the evolution and sacrifice of Overcome. Overcome would have been the hosts past life semblance if there was aura in the hosts previous life.]
'I know that I had more karma than the average person but to have an evolved semblance for having a possible past life semblance and karma. Okay, I know what I'm looking into next, [Creation].
[Creation: The action or process of bringing something into existence. Using this semblance will allow the host to create anything the host desires as long as they have the aura capacity to do so. This will also evolve with the host.]
'This has to be the most overpowered semblance I've ever heard of. I don't even think there was a person who had this semblance. The only thing or being capable of creating on Remnant was the Relic of Creation or Ambrosius and the Brothers from The Ever After. Alright, next is [Skills].'
[Skills: an action that is used by the host. Skills can be used in physical and non-physical aspects in life. Skills can be used for small tasks, examples being reading and writing. But skills can also be used in dangerous situations, examples being marksmanship and basic boxing. These do not need any form of 'points' in order to be utilized.]
'Oh, thank god! Wait, but wouldn't that mean that it would use my stamina instead, even though I don't have a stamina bar? Crap. I'll think about how to manage that. Now, [Condition].'
[Condition: Shows the hosts' mental and physical health of the user. For example, if the user is injured, this will show where the area of the injury is.]
'It's not lying on both parts of the Condition. You know what, when I'm done with this, I'm going to sleep. What was next? Uh, [Quests]!'
[---------------------------------------------------------]
Quests
Quest Types(?)
Ongoing Quest(s):
Optional Quest (Tutorial): Introduction to the Remnant System (1/4 Completion)
Completed Quest(s):
None
[---------------------------------------------------------]
'A lot shorter than what I thought but... [Quest Types]!'
[Quest Types: There are three types of quests the host can acquire. Mandatory, Optional, and Emergency. Mandatory Quests are a must, and the host must complete the quest or there will be consequences in the hosts daily life. Mandatory Quests can only be made by others who are not in the system. Optional Quests are not a must, and the host has the obligation to either deny or accept the quest. Optional Quests can only be made by the host themselves or others who are not in the system. Emergency Quests are a must. The host has no option but to the quest, and there will be consequences. Emergency Quests can only be made by the system itself and no one else. Emergency Quests are only when the host or those around the hosts' lives are in danger.]
'That's... explainable... somewhat. Okay, [Point Shop].' Two other panels disappeared while another took its place.
[---------------------------------------------------------]
Point Shop
Partial Access until Quest Completion: Introduction to the Remnant System
There are many things the user can afford to buy from the Point Shop. Ranging from simple foods, a wagon, and throwing knives to fantastic dishes, a Bullhead, and even the Relic of Creation. You can buy them with the use of SP or Shop Points. Shop Points are the only way the user can buy items from the Point Shop. Items can not be sold to get more SP.
[---------------------------------------------------------]
'Wait, anything in Remnant? Does that mean I could get some of the main characters' weapons, too? Hell yes!' I pumped my fist in the air, then quickly put it down and shook my head. 'No, I shouldn't rush things like this for now. I'll take my time to work things through. I'll figure out something to buy when I'm out of the hospital. Wherever this hospital is. [Inventory]'
[---------------------------------------------------------]
Inventory
Partial Access until Quest Completion: Introduction to the Remnant System
The Inventory allows the host to be able to store items quickly and safely away from unwanted hands. The host can also buy more at the cost of SP.
[---------------------------------------------------------]
'... That's it? No long explanation to back it up? Just short and sweat... I'll take it.
[Ding!]
The previous panels all disappeared, and a new one took their place.
[You have completed the Optional Quest (Tutorial): Introduction to the Remnant System. Rewards have been distributed]
[Rewards Obtained:
• Full Inventory Function Access (5 Spaces)
• Full Point Shop Access
• 100 SP
• Evolution of Skills: Memorize
• Skill: Basic Combat
• Previous Skills from Previous Life]
A few seconds later, after the rewards panel, two new panels and two feelings came over me. Fuzziness came over my mind while pain coursed through my body, causing me to put my head down and put my hands over my head. My arms, my legs, my chest, and no part of my body were spared from the painful feeling. I had a hard time breathing through the pain as I began to remember every possible skill I had gained from my first life. After an unknown amount of time had passed, both feelings faded away, and I began to breathe easily. 'Man, I feel exhausted. I didn't think getting skills would hurt.' I looked up and put my hands down to see the new panels.
[Evolution of Skill: Memory... Success!
Memory has become Retainment
Retainment: The ability to remember everything, even the smallest of details.]
[Previous Life Skills Regained
Skills include: Hacking, Parkour, Analyze, Sneak, Endure, Sprint, and 21 more skills...]
'Okay, I'm done. Goodnight.' I instantly flopped back to the pillow and knocked out instantly.
