While Xu Feng's opponent had decided to underestimate him, with next to little motivation to do its best, Xu Feng on the other hand was getting ready to implement his plan.

With the Abyssal Phantom blocking his opponent's vision from seeing him, Xu Feng discreetly took out the Scroll of Earthquake.

Shortly after its activation, the Abyssal Phantom was killed and Xu Feng was hit by the piercing spell again. 

Now some might ask why can't he just dodge the spell to avoid taking the damage? 

Well, the reason was rather simple. 

Not only was the spell a piercing type but it was also a homing type, meaning it would continuously track down its target and damage them. 

There were only two methods to avoid a homing-type spell. 

One was to naturally run far from its range capacity and another one was to use terrains or obstacles to tank the spell on his behalf.
