Introductions pt.1

As I lay on my bed trying to get some sleep, but sleep eluded me. As I have gotten older or more like as time had passed me it's been getting harder and harder to get sleep. I once used to wonder why even I needed sleep? It's not like I dream or that my body needed rest. It was my mind my inner self that needed some rest.

But even though I try I'm never getting that rest easy. I heard some footsteps outside the house but I thought that it was Damon coming back from where ever he was coming from. I tossed and tussled in my bed, trying to find the position and finally was ready to sleep.

But no, I heard Stefan wake up and walking down the stairs and calling out Damon. But no one responded and not that I was scared but I was puzzled as to who was stupid enough to come to a house with 4 vampires in it. I got up quickly and walked to the closet and got the gun out, suddenly I heard someone being slammed on the ground and I ran out the room and I saw on the hall downstairs.

A blonde over Stefan and snarling at him, not thinking twice I emptied the clip on her back and it was a Glock 14. The bullets went in her and she cried out in pain and rolled to the side crying and Stefan saw me and I said, "Get her!"

"What the fuck are you doing with that?" Stefan question me with a furious look. He turned to the girl and asked, "You okay Lexi?"

As I heard her name I kinda remembered who she was and it was not good. Vicki came out the room rubbing her eyes and asked, "What the fuck is going on? It's 4 in the morning."

I looked at her and Stefan looked at me and Vicki saw the scene and said, "What the fuck is going on?"

All of us were in the kitchen, Vicki was helping Stefan get the bullets out of Lexi's back while I was being stared down by here. And it was getting a little bit uncomfortable not just for me but for everyone.

I cleared my throat and clasped my hands and said, "I think I should apologize and I understand that you are pissed off but in my defense I thought that you were an intruder and then I saw you tackle my little bro like that, I just did what I had to."

She looked at me and so did everyone else and Stefan sighed and said, "I feel it's better for everyone that we just don't mess with the topic… Let's just get some sleep, we've had a long day."

I looked at him and every thought what he said was not fair to me, but I did understand the situation and thought it was best to leave it alone. I nodded and ushered Vicki to follow me so that both of them could have some space. As we both were leaving she called out and said, "I'm sorry."

I turned around and said, "I'm sorry as well… good night."

We both then walked upstairs and on the way Vicki asked, "Who's she?"

Even though I had just heard about her, this was my first time seeing her, "She's Stefan's BFF. It's a long story."

"Why's she here?" She asked and I said, "I don't know."

I looked at Vicki and said, "Let's just get some sleep."

"What's the point? It's gonna be morning in a few hours… not that it matters." She walked into the room frustrated by everything. I might have to take her out soon.

I went inside my room and slept.

(Down stairs in the Kitchen)

"So that's your other brother huh?" Lexi looked at Stefan with an amused look on her face.

He nodded and pulled out the last wooden piece out her back and said, "Yeah… I hope that this little stint doesn't paint a bad picture of him… he's a good guy."

Lexi turned around and smiled, "Awe, look at you doting on your big bro, like that. It's so sweet."

Stefan smiled and nodded, "Alright alright… but on a serious note. Why are you here? Mystic Falls is not in good condition right now."

"Tell me about it… some amateur tried to shoot me, in the woods. it was that news guys with the weird hair."

Stefan squinted and said, "Logan?"

Lexi nodded, "And besides all that I'm here for your birthday… it's not like every guy turns a hundred and sixty two."

Stefan grunted and said, "You're making me feel so old right now."

"You are though."

Both of them went to Stefan's room to talk and they laid down on his bed and Lexi asked, "Why are you staying here… if the hunters are on your tail? Any what's with the girl? Is she with your brother?"

Stefan sighed heavily and said, "The girl is Vicki she recently got turned by Damon and you him. So Tom stepped up and as for why I'm still here? Her name is Elena."

"Elena huh? I hope she is better than the last one… It took you forever to get over that bitch."

I was sleeping and my phone started to buzz, I really didn't want to pick it. I saw who was calling and it was Caroline. "Why's she calling me… in the morning at that?"

I picked it up and she said, "Hi, Tom."

"Hey, what's up?" My voice was barely coming out it felt more pronounced and gravely. 

She took a breath and said, "Ah, if it's not a big deal for you… can you meet my mom."

I paused for one moment and looked at the phone and asked, "Why?"

"It's about that tea… she asked who gave it to me and I said you did and… I tried asking her but she insisted on meeting you. If you're busy I can tell her that."

I sat up and scratched my head and said, "No, it's fine… when does she want to meet me?"

"She's in the station right now…"

I nodded and said, "Alright, I'll meet with her…" I checked the time and said, "I'll be there in an hour."

"Okay… and if you some free time later… you know what never mind." She hung up the phone fast and I looked at the phone and leaned on the bed and said, "I can get in on the council now…" I didn't think helping her would lead to this but I'm not complaining.

Finally, I'm back and it feels nice to be here. My exams went great and thank you all for being patient with me.

Guys, I have a question… if a person like Caroline starts taking vervain does she gets those memories back?
